If you spent half the time learning not only how to properly maintain your computer and to choose its proper components, etc., but also how to properly implement the English language ("gamming"?), that you do complaining on this forum then you'd probably be a lot happier of a person. Clue #1: people are pretty sick of you around here.

And here's another tip: This game really isn't that good. If it's causing you such consternation, just play something else. Like Tiddlywinks.

The "best" is the solution that EA supposrt gives me for my problem. Have a look: http://social.biowar...58/index/572001

So if you have any problem! uninstall!!

That's the way EA support works.

No memory leak fix, no more money from me.  It's as simple as that.  Having to exit the game after every 30 mins of play to avoid 5 minute load times is unacceptable.  And this one isn't a 'rare issue', everyone experiences this problem.

Sigh, I should have known better than to buy something with EA on the box...

Maybe you should take up a new pastime such as posting on Forums on how to be an @sshat. Is that all you got some spelling errors? Come on are you that pathetic that you need to pick on the little things to substantiate your own low self esteem. There are already community members on this thread and these forums that agree with what I said but, apparently all you see is your own self-absorbed nature. I guess there sick of me. No that's just you. What ever makes you feel better about your self.Image IPB

BTW
So if the game is not that good why are you here posting your usual dribble.

Troll some more. Don't you have a bridge to crawl back under and collect some tolls.

I thought you were going to ignore me?

I don't need my self-esteem bolstered by other people's opinions on a gaming message board. Looks like you do, though.

I like annoying you, because you're so annoying. Every new game's tech message board has at least one guy like you; he feels he needs to go on some crusade to "get the game fixed". I'm providing a valuable service to the rest of the board as a balancing factor. Call me, Captain Truth!

The game runs fine, just buy some more RAM. It's really cheap nowadays. Once you get to the Deep Roads, you'll realize it wasn't really worth it anyway.

I myself didn't really have problems running the game..but was dumbfounded and highly disappointed with the support for those who didn't. The poor textures issues highly mentioned over and over by my and then the backing/support (or lack thereof) from BioWare is what turned me off to BioWare nearly completely. I know they don't care and others don't care.. but it's true. I loved and enjoyed the game but I had planned to actually play all the origins and DLC and mods etc..but I got so discouraged I stopped my second playthrough, uninstalled the game and that was it for me.

Chances of purchasing ME2 are now severely diminishing...chances of purchasing any of the DLC for Dragon Age is all but gone as well.

BTW did Return to Ostagar ever even come out...and they are announcing new DLC already? I am just severely stunned and dumbfounded..and I don't care if there are "different" teams for DLC and patches or not..it's been nearly a month since a patch or anything...

*sigh*

Talking about textures, the game textures are just horrible. I downloaded the pack from Dragon Age nexus and everything looks better.

No, you're not. You're just getting involved in a flame war. If you don't like what someone posts, you're free to ignore it. You're not free to start flaming and insulting.

For any others in this thread that have decided to toss insults around: consider this an official warning to get back on topic and dispense with the flames.

Call it an unspoken service.

But, point taken. Funny, I'm usually not a troll.

So, let Apex have his fun. Down with BioWare!!! :rage:

A customer has the right to be unsatisfied with a product, especially when his PC should be capable of running that product.

It's a simple fact many, many people are having problems and that while more RAM could help reduce these problems, ultimately the problems are with the game and not the hardware in nearly every case. Take a look around, see some of the specs listed, the problems presented, and the cry of 'More RAM, more RAM!' would clearly be without merit.

More ram isn't even a fix, there are people posting with 8gb experiencing the same slowdown issues.

Bioware some suggestions IMO . You guys should use a few different brands of computers with different configurations not all top of the line stuff but some . And use a top of the line one as well

that way you would avoid ALOT of these problems . And beta test on all of them instead of what your current procedures are .

PS and I'm starting to think these forums have allot of flamers that just chew up the OP 's .they have so much venom its leading me to think they are actually people that worked on this game ,but just without a BIOWARE tag. And are just defending their poorly released game. its all IMO but just cant seem to shake the idea.

For those saying there's no memory leaks, I asked Fernando Melo about it on this thread:

http://social.biowar.../9/index/576445

And he clearly says they are memory leaks and they're being looked into.

Never said nor implied that there are no memory leaks in DA. There are memory leaks in most games, especially CRPG's.

What I am saying is that it's not nearly as bad as most people think it is. There are far more things that can cause a memory-intensive game like DA to begin to slow down and crash on the typical consumer's PC nowadays than a memory leak in the game itself. I refer to bloatware, spyware, trojans, multiple a/v programs, IM's, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc.

I also realize that many players here do not have these conditions on their systems, and I do sympathize with them. However, I believe without exception, that any major performance problems with DA on even their systems can eventually be solved. Then again, I've been troubleshooting problems on PC's for nearly twenty years.

I just can't stand people who, ahem, complain ceaselessly on message boards, instead of helping themselves.

Oh for the Eyes Of Andraste, listen to yourselves for once, instead of shouting to the entire galaxy that YOUR SYSTEM is having issues, would you like Bioware to buy a plane ticket, for one of their Programmers to come to your house, and fix your PC for you?(consoles can melt)

How many different configurations(PC,or CON-sole) do you have where you play this game?
could all the software engineering firms have all possible configurations at their fingertips? thought not!

you do know why they are called "consoles" , it's because everyone tries to console each other. ROTFLMAO. Image IPB

And yes, I'm a PC elitist!! and proud of it.....oh and apart from increasing load times between areas(which is easily corrected), I'm enjoying this immensely, thank you Bioware. Image IPB

Rest of us aren't enjoying it yada yada, if you are then why you posting here instead of helping yada yada, I want a fix yada yada

Hey Apex,

Alright, buddy. You win.

I'm ready to help you now. I'm prepared to give you my credit card number in order to purchase you a brand-new PC of your choice. Then you can reinstall DA on it and play it.

Or, I am ready to purchase plane tickets to come to your house and fix your current PC for you, if you'd like. I am a computer professional and a lifetime gamer, so I'm confident I could get the game running well for you.

Or, I am ready to hire an assassin to take out all of EA and/or BioWare's staff on your behalf. Maybe this is what you really desire? It's hard for me to tell.

Or, I could pay for a psychologist for you. That seems like the most likely solution to your problems. I'm pretty sure they're all mental.

Hell, how about just some free advice. Some say it's the most valuable of commodities, after all. Here it is: GIVE UP PC GAMING -- YOU'RE CLEARLY NOT CUT OUT FOR IT.

Been gaming for years yada yada, other games aren't a **** like this yada yada

(Various)

Somehow, every time I look into this thread, someone is on the verge of shouting at someone else.

The core fact is that this is a PC Game, and the platform is darn close to infinitely variable.  It is humanly impossible to create and test every possible combination of parts and software environments.  When it's software, the Clean Boot is how to find the conflict.  If it's hardware, it's more difficult, but no matter how much anyone moans that it is all the fault of the game's own coding, or anyone else says not so, the PC instead is the problem, there are many multiples of times more people playing the game the way I have done, with two different PCs, and hardly anything at all out of the ordinary.

The size of the message database in the tech Forums still represents a seriously minimal percentage.  That's a fact.

I really think a couple of those teetering ion the edge in here need to shut up and ignore the thread, really.
