 Hi all,

The Toolset seemed to install correctly, installed following instructions from the Toolset Wiki (including Python 2.5.2.2 with Win32 extensions, and Lightmapper). On Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1. 64 bit operating system. I can create modules and resources of all kinds fine. The problem lies in exporting. When I click "Export without dependant resources", the module appears to export without any issue, and the Log box at the bottom declares a success. But when I open Dragon Age and attempt to test the exported module, all I get is the area with the PC in it. None of the other creatures or objects appear. Every now and then a creature DOES appear, but when you attempt to interact, nothing happens. Monsters don't attack, npc's wont start conversations, etc.

It's like a ghost world that occasionally feaures a random wax-work.

I tried to follow the tutorials to the letter:

Is there something I am doing wrong? Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Try deleting the folder My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override\\toolsetexport

Thanks for the advice. I tried deleting the folder you suggested, re-exporting and opened the game to test. Sadly it hasn't worked. Is there anything else I should try?

No, you don't re-export. Delete that folder after exporting, then run the game.

Okay. I have deleted the folder then immediately run the game. Problem persists.

You probably aren't exporting correctly.

a) Make sure all your custom resources for your stand-alone module are actually part of your module. If they are marked as single-player/core resources then you need to change that or it will lead to serious problems both with your campaign and the original campaign.

B) Be sure to select everything you need to export from your module - creatures, scripts, areas, plots, whatever. Do not export core resources, however.

c) Check the log for errors. It's possible that some resources failed exporting even though it says that it was successful.

Without knowing exactly what you are exporting it's hard to tell if the problem is in your export procedure or because you have improperly configured your actual content.  It's also possible that your campaign is conflicting with another mod you have installed.

Thank you for the feedback. I'll try what you suggested and get back to you with more info if I'm not getting anywhere.

Hi sea-, I tried selecting every asset individually (only the stuff I made, not core stuff) and tried loading again, and it seems to have worked. I had assumed that when exporting a module it would take everything automatically. I've not yet figured out how to select everything I want to export at once. But it is good to see the thing working at last! Thanks to you and DarthParametric for your advice.

The way you export things together is to group them using folders. Select "check in" on all your resources for your module (NOT "Undo Checkout"), and then right-click to change their properties and put them in common folders and subfolders. Then you can just go to the "all" tab and export the whole folder without dependent resources. I tend to do it on a per-resource-type basis though, just because I've had an issue or two with it not exporting correctly if I try exporting everything at once.
