No geth. She explicitly says it to a romanced Shepard. "The only one getting in my suit is you."SiriusXI wrote...

I support most of it, except Tali visible all time in case of peace between Geth and Quarians. That'd be kinda cheap imho, not mentioning that she explicitly says that she doesn't want geth uploaded in her suit.
Thanks
Does Tali really say that if you make peace? I don't recall that, but it's been a while since I have played ME3 (1 year to exact --> ending trauma). Well, I meant it as a sort of alternate appearence mod, which is optional. You could of course also just have her without her visor in the Normandy, and not during missions, which sould make a little more sense.

The keywords being "didn't romance" - if she was never romanced by Shepard, there is no reason for her to show her face to Shepard or the crew (remember, sharing your face to another is considered an incredibly high trust and intimacy to a quarian). And if she was romanced, then she already told Shepard that "no one gets inside my suit, but you", so she wouldn't have any geth uploaded into her suit and improving her immune system.Sil wrote...
After Rannoch when you don't romance her she mentions how her race are being rapidly "cured" of their weak immune systems by the Geth, including her.
Additionally, I was always under the assumption that the geth's improving of the quarians' immune systems was to better condition them to reliving on Rannoch without envirosuits and not the entire galaxy (and that it would still take a few years before the geth improvements would result in the quarians being able to live outside of their suits on Rannoch).

She says that it will still takes years, but the geth are basically cutting the adapting time to a fraction of the decade or so it would otherwise take...
Too bad the geth blew up in my ending. I am sorry Tali, but look at it this way, Shepard lives this way and gets to live happily ever after with you.

I don't romance Tali (play as femshep) but I consider her as a best friend (kinda gives me that 'imoen'/little sister vibe when talking to her, idk.. =p) will I also see her face when she takes her mask off in Ranoch?
I'm not looking for her to take her mask off all the time, just during Rannoch on that particular moment.

The mod is not available for the moment. But yes, you will be able to see her face at that stage, even if you have not romanced her
Just to clarify for everyone here: The Tali 3d model is finished. If you want to use it in 3ds max, you can download the model and the textures if you go back 1-2 pages in this thread.
The problem is importing the model to the game. So far the game keeps crashing when you look at Tali (even if there's walls between her and the player).
There's still some very time consuming work to be done. But don't worry, I still have 1-2 more tricks to try out
Cya all later

1. I still don't think that her skin is purple - it still looks like to me that the artists were trying to mimic real-world shadow colors in the pic (since there wasn't much in the original photo that they based it on), but they messed it up royally. Combined with the pic of the quarian from the EC that they made later (which shows a grey-ish skin tone), I've decided to stick with grey for her skin color.
2. The markings on her forehead are the color black, yet the markings on her neck are definitely purple... are they different kind of markings than the ones on her face? Did the artist just f***-up the color on her neck markings? Who the hell knows....
3. Her irises are definitely gold in color.
4. Will need to remodel her ears or ear analog, since SlipperyHammer used human ears on his model (although you can only see the bottom of her ears in the BW pic, they do have a different style of anatomy than human ears).
5. Surprisingly, BW actually bothered enough to redo Tali's nose in comparision to the original real-life model (they made Tali's much smaller and more delicately defined, almost a button nose, than the model's original nose)
6. Still working on getting her hair right... trying to use Miranda's hair as a base, but running into a few issues with differeniating it enough from Miranda's hairstyle.

Still working on an unhooded Tali with her hair out, along with an unsuited Tali for a possible romance scene with Shepard (no promises yet, though). Been looking over her in-game photo that BW made using FLycam to get in close to it and noticed a few additional things:

Still using Miranda's hair as a basis for Tali's hair - of all the female hairstyles, her's is the closest to what was shown in the BioWare photo, but I'm still working on making enough differences in the hair so it's not a total replica of Miranda's. As you can see, the markings on her forehead don't reach far enough into her hairline (like they do in the original photo), so I'll have to work on that in PS along with lowering her scalp's hairline as well.
I did make some adjustments to Tali's nose as well, shrinking it in a bit (also based on Tali's original photo, since she had a smaller button nose, as I mentioned in a previous post).
Haven't taken this model into 3DS Max yet (I prefer to model in Lightwave) since it's not finished, but I did do some test renders in 3DS Max of her updated skin and eye textures using SlipperyHammer's original copy:

As for the preview:
I like her face =). It is well done and I think it fits the character. Maybe not oerfectly, but that's Bioware's fault for choosing the image they chose. I just cannot see that model having Tali's voice. This 3d rendered version here is obviously based on the image Bioware chose. Since you have to work with these restriction, I'd say: Great Job!
I have to agree with the statement above that she seems a bit too pale. Maybe the skin tone can be adjusted a little.
Anyway, thans for this project. Can't wait to see it in game =)

I really can see so much love for that character in this thread. Keep it up! You can do what Biowarecouldn't.decided they couldn't be bothered with/were too lazy to devote any measurable amount of time to the character or fix the mess they made.
Fixed for accuracy.
I'm sorry, but with the amount of "make up exams" Bioware has had coupled with the time spent to model a completely unpopular, inconsequential, one-sided forgettable character, I refuse to have any more sympathy/benefit of the doubt for them. At least there are some fans devoted enough to rectify the problem.... that problem being the silly picture, to which some have created more favorable alternatives that actually have effort put into them.
I consider this sort of 3d face mod to be above and beyond...
