And yeah, I hope my website drives a lot of interest. I think a lot of people are just unaware of all awesome things you can do. I know it was a pain the ass finding all the information the first time.
@badmojo88: You know, I'm not even sure of what controls the Tali faceplate on the actual texture - I've not done much editing of that skin. There's just a "face thing" you see on the map, not like a plate like you'd expect. It might be an individual texture itself, I've never messed with it. I know the face opacity that is more visible in Jean-Luc's Tali edit is just the face in the "blue" channel made more visible in the specular map.
Would be easy to find out by flipping through the game's textures with Texmod, but that's not really a direction I'm super interested in going. Unless I was working on a ME1-in-ME3 style rextexture or Colossus armor.
It's not a total face reveal in game, but I thought it actually added a ton of detail to her face and made it more personal.

Oh - and yeah, you might run into some problems making the visor "see-through," if there's a texture in game and I make it, for example, pure white or thinly spread out white, it's not going to make the visor "clear" with just a texture edit. I tried to make a "transparent missile launcher" edit once and it didn't turn out so great. There might be a way to do this, but I don't know tbh, I haven't tried something like that before.
