"This forum is for positive and friendly discussion on the upcoming Dragon Age III Inquisition game"

"Positive and friendly discussion"

"Positive"

I don't see why the forum description needed to be worded the way that it is. Where is the forum for diapproval and criticism of the game?

"We're positively positive that Dragon Age 3 is going to be crap? lol."

Seriously though I think you misunderstand their point - they are saying that this place should be a positive place for people to discuss things, and that name-calling, abuse, etc. have no place here, not that you can't say bad things about the game or disagree with others. You can do that, just do it in a nice way and don't resort to negative posts against other posters :)

Just means positive atmosphere. Wouldn't be a very nice place if everyone was allowed to bash eachother into a fine paste.

Basically, it boils down to:

WRONG
Person A: I think such-and-such should be in the game.
Person B: That's stupid. You're stupid! *rage*

RIGHT
Person A: I think such-and-such should be in the game.
Person B: I don't agree with that for reasons. What I'd like to see is this-n-that.

Is this Biowares first game? Haven't heard much about? We know it is made by Bioware who have made like a dozen games, and is published by EA who have published like half of Bioware games.

Why should they make one?

Even if they banned all bashing of the currently non-existent Dragon Age 3 game (they don't), it's their private website to do with as they please. If they did demand that every post be unceasing praise of their work, then they would be well within their own rights. Anyone who didn't like it could just find another website.

They know how angry the forum was after DA2/ME3 came out.

I think it's great. The name calling got pretty darn grim after DA2 came out. Let's not repeat that no matter what happens.

As far as I saw in those forums even now, critics (even heavy) aren't forbidden. If you remain civil, you can even say that everything that Bioware did with ME2, DA2 and ME3 was bad. It depends on how you said it.

Even if they turned it into a 2D side-scroller with quicktime events?

The angry entitlement was at an all-time high after their last two releases. There were also some very inappropriate social media attacks on a BW employee. That's why the description says what it says. In practice the mods are more lenient than the description implies.

We could, in fact, do very well without any forums at all. Providing a place for fans to post their thoughts is something we do out of courtesy and because it gives us feedback that is occasionally useful.

Anyone posting on these forums is doing so as a privilege-- not a right-- and if it's too difficult for someone to discern the difference between "acting in a positive manner" and "saying only positive things about our games" then they should feel free to take their thoughts elsewhere to one of the many, many discussion forums out there which are not ours.
