It seemed like a silly idea to implement banners without having the option to remove them.
Will we ever get the option to REMOVE banners?

You can remove them. Pretty sure you just set the same banner as you currently have on, and that'll do it, in my experience.

You can remove them now. Do you not know how? Lots of people have mentioned how it's done. Do a search in sure you'll find it

Remove banners? Nah. But there should be an option to remove the notifications for the in-game challenge points pop-ups after you finish them once. Tired of these things showing up so much.

Last weekend I noticed there is an option to "set title" for the weekend operation and that entirely removed my current banner so that none was diplayed in lobbies.

Every time I launch and play single player, then quit to menu then fire up Multiplayer I get all sorts of glitches, including the removal of my current banner. Surprised if this doesn't work for you, since a couple of other people here say the same thing works for them. PC if that matters - maybe different on xbox / ps3?

That's because there isn't one going on yet.
Wait until the next challenge is up on Friday, then set it as your active banner after you complete it.
