I'm pretty sure there is no answer here to make me happy but I have to ask anyway.

I play Dragon Age all nice and shiny on a bootcamp mac at home, that's fine.

At work I have a lame Dell laptop (with ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 sigh I'm almost embarrassed to type this). And some spare time (wheeee!).

I really would loooove to be able to tinker with the toolset at work (shhh) but the toolset has the same system requirements as the game proper (right?) and so I can't run it at work even if I just wanted to play around with conversation text or whatever.

Is that true? Is there any way to force to toolset to run on a rubbish PC even if graphics performance is shocking (coz I wouldnt be actually playing or anything anyway)?

Or just not possible?

I'm presuming I'm out of luck but thought I'd ask.

Install it and try.  I bet you it will work just fine and if not just uninstall it.

hm well it seems DAO and hence also the toolset require Shader 3.0 (?) to run. Most integrated graphics don't have that. My xpress 1150 has 2.0 apparently. No dice.

Booooooooo! Where is the text-only version of the toolset? lol sigh oh well
