Unless they MAKE a new engine for ME...then stuff might go wrong. Go with UE4. Or at least CryEngine3 (**** Frostbite)

- more DLC to come, next one has 8 writers etc (we knew that already), more info will be released in the coming weeks, no answer whether that's the last DLC though, may not be but Bioware says that we're getting to the point where they won't be releasing as much DLC for ME3 as before
Sad. They just released 2 real DLCs for ME3. ME3 dying the DA2 death?

BioWare: Yeah, it might have been but we wanted an ending that didn’t copy what other games have done before. So a boss battle wasn’t really where we wanted it to go."
Right. no copypasta. Glad they cleared that up.

Nah, Dragon Age 2 only had six months of DLC content and they abandoned one in the middle of production, but Mass Effect 3 has had nine months so far and its probably going to be around a year before it stops. The reason why they are going to stop making DLC for the game is less and less people buy DLC each time a new one is released and its just not financially feasible anymore. Technically they have released three story based DLC for Mass Effect 3 From Ashes, Leviathan, and Omega; but they have also needed to schedule DLC time to create and develop The Extended Cut. Mass Effect 2 has had five total with The Cerberus Network, Stolen Memory, Overlord, Lair of the Shadow Broker, and Arrival (which is the second worst DLC for Mass Effect).

SP wise: From ashes (Day 1), Extended cut, Leviathan, and Omega. So if we don't count Day 1...3 SP DLCs.
MP wise: Resurgence, Rebellion, Earth, Retaliation. Four DLCs.
Seven actual content DLCs. That's a lot more then DA2 ever had.

Hopefully not. It'd be incredibly sad. I actually enjoy the SP content they have rolled out and would like at least two more pieces. DA2's abrupt halt was upsetting and so would ME3's.Grubas wrote...

Multiplayer DLC is working more in bioware favors, than it does for the fans. i dont count it because.... Multiplayer is a gimmick. I didnt ask for it, and i didnt expect it to be so heavily promoted in the Campaign.
im talking about Singleplayer because thats the only DLCs that matter.
Please keep your Multiplayer out of my game.

I didn't realise it was your game. Thought it was bioware's, and thought we were all fans or people whom have a somewhat interest of the game. I'm not discounting multiplayer just because someone thinks it's a gimmick or doesn't want it. They made DLC for it, and they supported it much like they supported Single Player.Grubas wrote...

Oh I'd only be worried about ME4 engine wise if DA3 turns out odd in terms of cinematics and typical bioware choice style.ZeCollectorDestroya wrote...
Ah, thanks for sharing. Now my manboobs can rest easy knowing that the game won't be too rushed and is a next-gen game.

I worry that ME4 will be rushed again. They're working with a brand new engine and have only about two and a half years to make the game. (Remember that ME3 was in development for roughly two years and two months.) Still, it's interesting news.
Again do remember the tools will be done by the DA team. I'd be more worried about Dragon Age 3 then Mass Effect 4 in this regards. In fact, ME4 will probably have a more polished system seeing as it would be the second Frostbite game they make.
If Mass Effect 4 is actually in development right now... Mass Effect 4's development time is
25-36 months. 2-3 year development time. That's already a lot longer then ME3's dev time.

Sorry i have an oldfashioned attitude towards things i pay a lot of money for. My mistake. I know once the servers go down, bioware might lift the DRM, or not. But hey we are all fans.
I bought the game because of the promise Multiplayer will not affect Singleplayer, 2 different teams and such.
And as it came out Multiplayer heavily affects Singleplayer. Missions, mission objectives, even the gameplay has been streamlined to conform with Multiplayer. Not to forget the little incentive at the end, that according to official statements shouldnt be there.
but if you like Multiplayer i understand its easy to look over such things.
So we have 2 DLCs for Singleplayer, (right there was a Day1 DLC also). I wonder how bioware managed to finish a DLC, Before finishing the game. But that remains a mystery.

Come on Bioware! Don't you have ANY finesse?
You know exactly what split this community and still rattles many minds. You say you didn't want to copy other games but you did EXACTLY that and see where that got you...
(The above was discussed too many times for gameplay and the ending(s) so I won't go anymore into that.)

Heh, when I read that part, I just knew it would be picked up in the thread

To be fair, when you put it like that, it's kind of impressive. Credit where credit is due

Seems like they're giving themselves just enough time to make a game that will be playable, but not necessarily fantastic. With a new engine, new console and a whole new storyline, I'd feel way more comfortable if they went into dark mode like 343i did for Halo 4, then come back four, five years later and say, "Okay, we're ready to release this now." Holding themselves to any kind of deadline at this point is not a good sign. But, alas...EA loves their release schedules. I'm concerned in the same way for DA3; I'm not convinced they can pull it off in the timeframe they have with switching to Frostbite and supposedly next gen. In general, the fact that they're so early into the dev cycle with both games and they already have an idea of when they want to release makes me nervous. Hell, anything after ME3 is gonna make me nervous.
The key is going to go into both games not expecting anything, or hoping for anything. I had all of two things I wanted out of ME3 and I got neither. Learned my lesson there.
Edit: One last thing. If the crying feels in the upcoming DLC are sad feels, I will kick a puppy. I'm sick of sad feels from this game.

For all I know, it doesn't exist because I don't have hours upon hours in a day to crank out credits and unlock the stupid things. I just gave up MP altogether because it was such a gigantic waste of time just to get one character I wanted to play.Zenor wrote...

OH GOD MY SIDES ARE EXPLODING PLEASE MAKE IT STOPGS: That actually sounded like it could have been cool to fight The Illusive Man like that.
BioWare: Yeah, it might have been but we wanted an ending that didn’t copy what other games have done before. So a boss battle wasn’t really where we wanted it to go.
