Did you know that In 2012 a group of canadian writers was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they committed. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Canadian underground. Today, still wanted by the fans they betrayed, they survive as artists of fortune. If you have a franchise, if you want it dead, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the Eh-Team.

Are you watching the A-team in the UK right now?

Nevermind that you ask BW what happened to the Rachni, or Jacob, or Thane, or Cerberus, or anything else and they tell you to deal with it.

BW did it to themselves.

I'd be surprised if I wasn't surprised. This one fits Seival's point-of-view, so of course it's given credence.

Granted, it seems as if a good chunk of the BSN believes in one conspiracy or another, whether it's secret endings, bought high-score reviews, last-minute script changes, or "leave BioWare alone!" stuff like the above.

You're right, of course.

He also really loves his family, and can't stand Albanian human traffickers.

This should now be a Liam Neeson thread. Only 60's spiderman is a superior topic to derail a Seival thread with.

I think you overstepped with the last statement (conspiracy theories don't do it for me), but I can accept your statement that the endings fit within the scheme of the previous Mass Effect games.

...All assumptions about "ME3 ending being out of ME Trilogy concept" are invalid. ME Trilogy started with organic-vs-synthetic problem, and it ended with resolving (or postponing) organic-vs-synthetic problem. Moreover, all three parts of the story follow very similar pattern:

 - The Reapers were introduced. 5% of ME1 playthrough.
 - Truth about Saren's motives. 80% of ME1 playthrough.
 - Truth about the Conduit. Truth about the Citadel. Truth about the Keepers. Vigil discovery. 96% of ME1 playthrough.

 - Collectors were introduced. 5% of ME2 playthrough.
 - Truth about the Geth. Legion was introduced. 80% of ME2 playthrough.
 - Truth about the Reapers being half-organic creatures. 99% of ME2 playthrough.

 - Crucible schematics discovered. 5% of ME3 playthrough.
 - Conversation with the Destroyer. Truth about the Reapers' motives. 80% of ME3 playthrough.
 - Catalyst was introduced. The Cycled Harvests concept was explained. 99% of ME3 playthrough.

The whole story (including the ending) is consistent and logical. Nothing is out of place in it. The only thing that is out of place here is some people confusion about the game. ME3 hate was just overhyped by some very vocal haters. All assumptions about bad writing are invalid. The entire "dislike wave" is purely artificial and doesn't correspond to the real state of things...

...Someone intentionally tried to sabotage ME3 from outside? That's quite possible. Because most of "angry reviews" are look like made by hired people. Each based on flawed logic, using some game bugs, and reviewing phrases/actions out of game context.

...There was no "ending fiasco". There was an attempt to attack BioWare's reputation. And that attempt has failed eventually.

Ok, seriously is this a joke?  I mean, no one, not even the OP can really be this under informed.  The angry reviews are by hired people-yes, people felt they had not spent enough money so they decided to hire people to create youtube videos of disgust and they paid people on independent blogs to randomly trash Bioware for no good reason.  As opposed to those downtrodden, unpaid volunteers at IGN, Game Informer, G4tv, and so on that, out of the goodness of their heart and their love of those that don't like to talk up their own product (BW), decided to post some unpaid for reviews about their undying love of an ending.  This same ending that BW decided to randomly add to and change in places by releasing the EC, just for fun and for free.

The OP has claimed before that he didn't like the original endings and he was a member of Hold the Line, so was he one of the vocal minority that protested.  Actually, I don't think so because every thread he's ever created has been rather odd (to be kind) and has been solidly behind BW and ME3.

But, the whole thing is incredibly silly as if people just randomly decided to want to attack BW and to not enjoy a game they bought and had high hopes for.  That is why the kid must make sense to the OP because this does.

For the record, I didn't come to these forums until I couldn't figure out why I had gotten such a horrible ending to my game.  Then I found out I had gotten the best ending possible.  I never belonged to any group and expressed my surprise in a thread that said BW was listening.  They weren't and have yet to listen.

I do not find it possible to believe that Seival is serious with this one-if so, I can only say he needs real help.  And I mean this seriously.  He's created threads where he wanted DLC where people are put into concentration camps or on reservations on planets so we get to fight more Cerberus.  He's made suggestions for DLC, but has told others of us that Bioware doesn't take suggestions.  He thought that the Normandy crash on a jungle planet scene was BW showing a crash test of the mass relays, and he thought that Shepard in control actually was sort of the catalyst's baby and would either be the citadel or a reaper that has a relationship with Liara.

I don't think any of this makes sense myself, but then apparently the minor stories within ME where any dispute between synthetics and organics was solved by people (mainly Shepard), was appropriate to be ignored in an ending that tries to say there will always be unsolvable disputes between organics and synthetics.

The reason people got upset and got angry was two fold-the endings suck and still suck with pretty pictures, and BW never listened and never decided to have a rational conversation here with people that are registered owners of the game.  Instead, they allowed IGN and others to trash their paying customers, to insult them, and then decided to do the same.  They over-hyped the game which amounted to lying about it and have always attempted to say that fans really don't know what they are talking about.  That is not the basis for a good relationship.  They have attempted to paint all fans with the same brush, so if some few fans got out of hand, they didn't control that and instead decided to label all of us (everyone of us that posts on this forum) with the same label.

If you thought in the original endings that the relays were all destroyed and that that would destroy the galaxy (something they said in two places in the games and that they said just prior to the game's release and in an app), with the EC release and on twitter, they basically called you an idiot. They said they had no idea why you thought that.  We needed clarity for the original endings, which basically means we needed it explained, and yet they changed things and added other things.  That's not clarity.  There's no way that you should have known that you had the option to refuse or reject what the kid was saying.  And, I don't think you could blink fast enough and miss the Normandy swooping down and picking up teammates in front of Harbinger.  Or, that you knew that the Normandy could be instantly repaired (it had holes in it) and fly off after crash landing.  I mean, the endings are basically the same but they really did add some things to them that are even a bit more ridiculous and it's not just clarity.

Funny thread though and rather on the side close to surrealistic.  Great entertainment.
