This thread is two-fold, and I realize that the first point has been touched on before.

1.) Item names. I'm replaying DA2 right now, and the names of the items (ring, belt, amulet, etc...) are driving me nuts, as they always have. Here's hoping that item names are a little more indicative of the item itself. Not every item needs to be unique, but I'd rather have even the more basic items have set names. For instance, a Ring of Health gives a health bonus. A Ring of Vigor gives a mana/stamina bonus. A Storm Staff deals lightning damage and/or has a bonus to lightning damage with attacks and spells, a pair of Bloody Daggers have a heightened critical chance....

2.) I've noticed that some bonuses from items are given in numbers and some percentages, and I feel like the numbers should be given in percentages. I could be wrong, and I certainly haven't broken down the game's mechanics mathematically, but what use does a ring that gives me an extra 5 mana do? That's barely anything. I feel like if I give a tank an Amulet of Vitality or whatever, I'd rather it give +5%-10% total health than +10 health.

3.) I'd be really happy if the items we find out in the field or even in shops were less generic. This kind of goes with the name topic. I realize there has to be enough items so that we can buy and sell them, and some of them are likely going to be more generic, but I still felt like the items in DA2 are INCREDIBLY boring.
