Hi, I've just started a new playthrough in ME1 as a Renegade Femshep. The problem is, I actually hate ME1, I enjoyed the first play through, but every one since then has basically been about grinding to make a character to import into ME2. I find the characters and dialogue boring and humourless (I really hate Ashley and Kaidan with a fierce passion), getting around in Makos and elevators is a complete nightmare, and the side missions are dull and repetitive. So, I'm thinking of using the dev console to give myself XP, money and morality points to make it quicker, so I can just focus on getting to the decisions that will affect later games.

My question is: Is it safe? The only thing stopping me is that I'm afraid of it screwing up my save so I won't be able to import it into ME2. So has anyone had any experience with this?

its safe m8, i use it plenty for credits an omni gel

on a side note just do givesuperweapon and givesuperarmor in the console, that speed you through the game.

Or use mass effect 2 gibbed save editor on the one save you have an just tinker about with it at the start of each me2 playthrough to get desired results for each playthrough of me2

Another useful one is SloMo, which changes the game speed.

SloMo 0.5 sets the game to half speed
SloMo 1.0 sets the game to normal speed
Slomo 2.0 sets the game to double speed.

I use it at 4.0 to make the Mako journeys go a lot quicker.
