Sovereign, Harbinger and the Rannoch Reaper when spoken to had male voices. Despite Reapers not having a gender, it got me thinking as to how interesting it would be to have a female voiced Reaper. I'm sure Jennifer Hale or Carolyn Seymour could pull this off.

If BioWare were to make a "female" Reaper character do you think she would have daddy issues?

Reapers don't have a gender, considering they are hive mind types.

Plus, they are all tools so why bother?

They are asexual, not everything need a female counterpart. Nyreen is a stupid character, because its main characterization is that she's just a "female turian", her backstory is not strong enough, they just put everything on the boob turian thing.

before me3, the reapers were totally alien, more so than any other species in the galaxy.

reproduction was one of the mysteries (granted some some concepts were shown in me2)

Since Reapers are part machine, I think they technically don't have genders, or they are meaningless. We only spoke to 2 Reapers throughout the game; Sovereign and Harbinger (and Leviathan, so that makes it 3). Yes, all three were male, but there are thousands, if not millions of Reapers. Some of them could be females. We will never know.

Because male is default.

And TeamME seems to favor BroShep more. That's probably why Femshep didn't get a custom default face until ME3, and even then, hers looks like an anime character(cover art is deceptive. In-game looks hideous) while BroShep is a real life model.

This obsession with female this/that is starting to become disturbing. I would guess that they're not here yet because the BSN keep scaring them off. Let the women breathe fellas.

Because they are not Biological? (The Biological parts of them are the minds technically, but the rest is Synthetic) And the male voice thing is probably based on the fact that Deep Male voices are generally more intimidating so in turn, relevant antagonists like Sovereign and Harbinger had deep male voices.
