Let's be honest about the Turian Engineer...He is not a good character.

This is really my problem with him when I tried him out last night. Even against geth, with sabotage hacking, he's boring. Turret is fire and forget, sabotage's long CD makes it not very spammable and grenades with a long cast and flight time? Eh.
Ehhhh....I though you liked the Volus Adept. He does.....what....shield spam and shoots, without good weapon passives.
I kind of like the TS. Yes, the turret could use a buff. Many of us have asked for the drones, turrets, an decoy to be buffed after the bif nerf that prepared the way for the Volus Sentinel.
The TS have very good weapon passives. I find hacking geth hilarious. Yeah, sabotage could use a buff too. But with the strong weapon passives, turret, homing grenade, and sabotage he is not a bad character.

Agreed, good sir. The powers that be fear the truth be known. If the truth of the greatest nerf, endangering each and every one of us, were to be spread, only mayhem would ensue. Salvation through Destruction to avoid Destruction through Salvation. That's some pretty deep stew right there.greghorvath wrote...

Huh? Nope. Dislike that power set so much I have never even played it. Gimme any other adept, even the Krodept, over playing the Voldept.
The Volengineer is OK, because Recon Mine and Proxy Mine are fun to use in combination. Tricky to get the placement and timing right.
I just find the TSab boring and not enough synergy between his powers at the moment to make it fun to use. Homing Grenades are my least favourite grenades, and sabotage one of my least favourite powers.

Stop treating him like Power focused character probably is a good thing.
Use Sentry turret to distract enemy while taking advantage of other skills and gunning cannot be that bad.

How many games give you as many characters as BW does and people expect complete and perfect balance? LOL. None that I am aware of other than Pokemon which also has winners and losers.

Volus Adept rules.
Stasis + Kishock + headshot + Warp Rounds = OSK all mooks, including Phantoms/Possessed Captains.. very few points in Stasis needed for this.
He also can max Stasis + Orbs and chain Bio booms together on groups (since they don't compete for cooldown unless you cast Orbs again). This however, cannot be done on bosses.... but he can Prime/detonate his own Bio booms vs mooks faster than anyone who doesn't have annihilation field.
Have you ever cast all 3-4 orbs on a target with multiple primers on it? It's amazing. Throw 4 orbs and it's something like: Bio Boom, Fire Boom, dud, Bio Boom... all within a few seconds, all on the same Atlas/Prime/Praetorian.
Then of course there is Shield Boost... which is teh awesome.

He havocs better than the havoc - if you compare the turian heavy melee to havoc strike, the damage isn't even comparable, and the saboteur's melee is even more damaging thanks to sabotage (it works out to about triple the damage of havoc strike) which also strips shields if you wait for the backfire. Even if you're double striking with havoc, the damage works out about the same, but the saboteur has homing grenades to help with bosses.
A sabotage cooldown buff would be nice, but it's fast enough on my current build to not be a big hindrance.

In any case, it does tons of damage with the Sabotage Tech Vunerability. That said, the recharge time is definatly too long.

Ok seriously, I agree he's not a good character. But plenty of those exist in the game.
Sometimes it becomes really evident that the devs do not play regularly above bronze/silver.

Before the buff I was really surprised that the devs would leave the sentry turret with that pitiful damage, but when I saw the ****ty buff they finally gave it I think part of my brain melted.

Turians are soldiers not engineers. They are more martial than technical. All classes cannot be top shelf or the game would be too easy. Just enjoy the variety it brings to the table.

I did play him; so did the best player on PC (Jay_Hoxtatron); we both think he is bad.
