I'd really like a word from one of the devs about this. Even if it is just to crush all my hopes and dreams and stuff. It's hardly like, revealing the plot or something.

Yes! this was something sorely missed in DA2. My 4 favorite things about Origins was
1. the plot and story
2. the violence
3. the humor
4. the item descriptions.
Okay, maybe the item descriptions are not THAT good, but they were pretty great.

I'm waiting for a Bioware dude to tell us that is part of the word budget. If we get a description of gold rings, we will lose 3 conversations with our love interest. Thats the only reason you only had 2 conversations with Lilly the albino exotic tree elf romance and the reason she wears underwear while bathing, we had to write descriptions for jewelery!
Everyone blame Brushyourteeth. You jewelry lovers ruined romances.
LOL, it's true!! I am a notorious dialogue-hater and proponent of moar underwear.
... but what happens if there's an item description for the LI's underwear? A paradox!!!!!!!!!
OMG, and the thing about dwarven children loving to eat nug-gets? Golden. Simply golden!gosimmons wrote...
Box o' Nugs got a laugh out of me. Loved the opportunities for dry humor.

Agree. And I don't know much about game design, but this doesn't seem like an especially costly feature.
Apoligies to others who say they've seen and/or started a topic like this before. My intention wasn't to take credit for an unoriginal post or dredge up an old discussion, but simply to highlight a feature I felt was missed in DAII.
