I got a new copy of the game and I can't find where it says the version. So I don't know if
I have to download the patch or not. Could somebody help me out and tell me where it says?
How do you check waht version the game is?

As far as I'm aware of, no retail copies are up to date with the all recent last patch version.
So yes you have to download the patch.

At the launch screen you're going to go to "configure then go to game" it should say what version you have..
