Can anyone tell me whether or not you are still able to romance ash and liara in ME2+3 if you follow dialogues to just "be friends" in ME1?

not really any romance options in me2 for any of them apart from a sort re-affirming of sorts in lotsb with liara, all you get with ash is a couple of minutes scene that if like me you had a playthrough in me1 with her as LI is very disappointing indeed, if you romance them in me1 you can romance again in me3, again i thought the ash romance in me3 was disappointing, on all my characters that have Liara as there LI (which tbh is most of them) i have romanced her from me1 right through to me3 without cheating and in my own opinion is the most satisfying romance out of every romance possible in the game.
Damn i got side tracked sorry, if you choose to say pick ash over liara in me 1, you can split from ash in me3 an be with liara an vice versa, if you dont romance any of them u can still romance both in me3,in but for myself the dialogue feels awkward an wierd

Yeah, if you didn't romance Ashley, Kaidan or Liara in ME1, you can still start something in ME3. However, in ME2, you can't start a romance with any of the options from ME1, only continue them. The same goes for the new romance options in ME2; the only way you can have them in ME3 is if you romanced them in the second game.
