If you had to choose 1 ME2 character to be on the squad in ME3.

Who would it be? By ME2 character, I mean squad members from ME2, obviously. Tali and Garrus do not count, as they were not introduced in ME2.

My pick would be Miranda, but everybody knows that.

Edit: Of the ME2 cast, who has the weakest reason for not joining Shepard?

Hmmm I think jack or grunt would be who I prefer. Though since Miranda is alive in the new games (non imports) it is likely that Miranda would be it. I would be happy with anyone except Jacob.

Legion. And I'm one of the more anti-Geth people on this site.

I'd favor peace without the Reaper's magical Pinocchio code, had it been possible. An added benefit is that the Geth would have been immune to Destroy.

Morinth. Even just so I could save her from the awful Banshee fate.

But also because she's awesome.

Probably Miranda, on account she's supposed to be the one character you have available throughtout ME2.

Oh, Jacob. Hahahahah. No.

Anyone but Miranda.

Probably Grunt though. ME3 squad lacks a Krogan.

Miranda. Her perspective on Cerberus would have been a great addition, not just orioriorioriorioriori

You know, ME3 DOES need a Krogan.

But Grunt is boring.

So I vote Wrex. Screw anyone who thinks he can't rule the Krogan from the Normandy. I say he's Wrex so he can do whatever the hell he wants! And if you don't like it, you get to become Varen snacks!

Edited:  Solution found.  Get rid of Vega and put the Krogan in.  Now you have space for Miranda too.  Done.

I don't hate Vega but he took the Krogan spot.

For story reasons, Miranda.

Miranda or Samara.

The former because of course she is my LI, is kinda aimless in ME3 without Shepard, and because her knowledge of the Normandy and familiarity as the Executive Officer under Shepard (as well as her trust in Shepard's abilities and independence from the alliance).

Samara, because she does make it seem as if she's going to fight with you. In fact, there's really no reason she shouldn't join you. She seems all set and prepped to come aboard, then she just doesn't for whatever reason.

I also find the concept of the two lovers (Shepard and Miranda) being separated by circumstance a rather romantic theme. You can see it in all of their interaction how much they long for each other, to be no where else than by each others side in the fight. And to have their reunion in the hospital at the end where they finally confirm their true feelings.

Most probably Miranda. My other choice would be Jack.

Definitely Jack. ME3 needed more of her humor.

Miranda. But you probably could've guessed that.

You COULD have added both Samara and Thane, and done a very ME1 choice along the way requiring you to have to sacrifice one of them. But that would require rewriting a lot of the story.

Wait a second, rewriting the story.....hmmmn, I think there might be something to that!
