Miranda isn't really preoccupied though. I guess being handed the idiot ball (along with Shepard in his interactions with Miranda) counts, but even wih her business there is zero reason not to join Shepard, or at least no reason for Shepard not to offer help to her.

Grunt, though Legion would have been entertaining. It was very entertaining, I especialy loved reading about Legions exploits that had been recorded by the Shadowbroker.

Getting suspended while playing MMO's because the GM's suspected he was using VI's to control 64 or something pets (which of course should havebeen impossible had he been an Organic..

Or, his cumsy atempts at online dating I can't remember what it said but I think he tried dating a Quarrian lady... I bet they encountered some political dissagreements

Her character doesnt make any sense story wise. The Illusive Man moves his station so the fact that she was there is meaningless. And Edi have all the information she has about Cerberus in her data banks,if not more.

That's not what I meant. I mean she hasn't really got much going on (apart from her sister, but she could have asked for Shepard's help) like the other characters such as Jack, Mordin, Legion and Thane who have reasons not to join Shepard. Jacob as well since he his girlfriend is pregnant. 

I think Miranda, Grunt and Samara have the weakest reasons.

No way. Zaeed's is definitely the weakest of them all. Kasumi as well, which essentially boiled down to:

"Nope. Don't wanna do it. Sorry Shep."

Edit: Heh. Both of them are the DLC characters too. Hmmm.
