I think I have one spot, but you need to add me as no one seems to get my FRs, Annomander_UK on lolorigin.

Though I can always delete the noobs like Sirian to make room.

Heh.

Though its gold or go home, regardless of your manifest!

:lol:

If you add Jay, Sirian or any of the like you could likely play Gold with them, since they are both beyond excellent at the game.
There are also ways to work in the vanilla humans into platinum as casters, I know the Adept is certainly platinum worthy when played right.
Human Engineer is a good partner to a Paladin or Trooper to chain detonte Snap Freeze or Flamer chains.
So, you gotta be creative but you do not need to be confined to Silver for long.

Pretty much, experience helps a lot in hitting above your weight.

If you are an experienced player, you can play gold and platinum, even with a crappy manifest. The player matters more than the manifest. If the all-mighty slimjim vouches for you then you definitely know the game.

I don't really play silver anymore but I'd be happy to play a gold/plat game with you sometime. Usually don't play until after 8PM PST though.

Add if you want. OriginID: jfruelas

Player skill matters more than the manifest full stop. Knowledge of the game is also immensely helpful.

But if you only have underleveled weapons, no piercing mods, no gear, few consumables, and caps of 2 on all four equipment, as well as all six classes in need of leveling, as well as not being fluid with the controls on PC, your success in Gold and Platinum will be primarily a function of how efficient the rest of the team is at DPSing enemies to death while you work in the occasional contribution. At least for the first few dozen hours of play time.

Just speaking as someone with very recent experience going through this same process and being occassionally frustrated (although buying a mouse so that I no longer had to play on a touchpad helped a lot).

If you don't have good weapons, play a caster class where you rely on powers to hurt enemies.  You can be a good teammate by debuffing stuff for the rest of the team.  Lack of good weapons isn't a disqualifer for gold/platinum.  There are multiple videos of people playing platinum with common weapons.  Plus playing sliver takes to long to start filling out your manifest.  I enjoy helping low level players on higher difficulties as long as the player is good.  ^_^

I played a few games with the OP earlier, and I would like to say she (I'm assuming she based on handle) is a good enough player to understand that it's possible to play gold with a less than optimal kit, but is also a good enough player to realize that if you're limited to common weapons you're really not going to be able to contribute much to the success of the team. She definitely doesn't need your aged wisdom to explain what things like casters and debuffs are.

I play Gold and Plat on XBOX and the Human Adept (vanilla) is my forte and I bring her in for Platinum all the time without issues :D

Yay! I've added everyone in here and I had a lot of fun playing with y'all! Thanks! I hope I'll be utterly Gold worthy within a week or two ;)

I play silver and gold(recently).

-PS: I am not a great player. I can clutch a few silver waves if its against geth. And I suck against collectors at any difficulty :P

 I'm adding everyone! :D

To address some of the above comments and a few notes:

-You can play any class with me. I'm absolutely chill about loadouts and classes I'm not uptight about any of that stuff. (literally the only issue I ever have is when we have Adepts on the team and someone loads Disrupter rounds lol :huh:)

-I'm experimenting with some classes I normally do not run- since my manifest is weaksauce and n00b-ish I have to use what I have and I'm certainly not pro at the classes I normally don't use.

-Sniping on PC is way better than sniping on XBOX for ME3 multi. Last night (I was sucking but I noticed this anyway) when I sniped I realized it reminds me of the way sniping used to be in ME1 and that is was one of my favorite things to do in ME1.

- I'm troubleshooting mic/headsets. I think I need to buy "some cables" to use either one of my Turtlebeaches for my PC gah!

@Holden:

Agreed with you about the : It is hard to make the transition from XBOX to PC- particularly if you're used to playing a game solely on one platform vs the other. I've been playing this game since its inception on my XBOX. While I'm also a PC gamer and have been for years- my brain uses the XBOX controller without concious thought and especially for ME. I'm having to relearn how to manuever with my XBOX Mass Effect brain lol.

@jfreulas521
Anyway- yes people can still play higher level difficulties without the best gear or being completely leveled up to 20. I firmly believe it's the player not the gear/characters. However, that said, I'm merely mortal and I'm not an elite player. I'd say I'm intermediate :whistle:. Not having full slots for ops packs and med gels makes me super nervous and like I'm a serious liability at Gold and up. That's why I'm learning in Silver.

If anyone wants to play a few morning matches I'm about log on..:D
