ME1 still has stuff that I'm just discovering dozens of playthroughs later. AMAZING music on Virmire.

I grow on people lol. Anyways is it the part I was talking about. I agree that there is always new stuff though. I still haven gotten the renegade mission. Cause the one you get for getting to a high paragon level is the biotic terrorists that drug the exo geni scientists and basically let them walk around while you fight making it a b**** not to shoot them cause they walk in front of you. And since I always play paragon shep I never get it but I might this playthrough doing my first renegade shep (still am about equal with paragon). Also you were able to kill wrex I am impressed cause I never could I was just about there once then I had to save himandy69156915 wrote...
Garrusfan, got to admit, you're starting to feel like an actual buddy of mine or something on here. Don't know why, we just seem to get along.
Anyway, if it is a glitch, it's an extremely common one. Again, that Youtube video of someone else also had the same thing happen, you can listen and tell for yourself. And honestly, it's an AWESOME glitch. Added to the Virmire part so much that I'm doing that every playthrough from now on.

"Ashley dies and Kaidan lives, no question... Because you (and I) like Ashley. Not make sense? Let me explain. Ashley is not herself in ME3. She's totally different, in personality, what she says, how she looks, in every way. Worse still, she's different in ways that make her a worse character then her ME1 self. She's like some Ashley imposter, some random girl who killed Ashley and did plastic surgery to look (kind of) like her and fooled everyone into thinking she was Ashley. Whoever that person is, it's not the character I saved in ME1. It's better to let her die in ME1 while she's still herself, while her character still has dignity. I personally like Ashley too much to let ME3 crap on her character like it did the one time I imported a file with her alive. Never again, she deserves better.
Kaidan however still seems like himself. He's the same guy, you can tell. ME3 Kaidan is ME1 Kaidan. His character got respect in ME3. For that reason, carrying him into ME3 doesn't feel like I'm insulting him to do so."
In short, ME3 ruins Ashley but doesn't ruin Kaidan. That being the case, after the one playthrough where I took Ashley into ME3, I'm never letting her survive Virmire again. She deserves to die while she's still Ashley Williams.
Oh, and Kaidan was my engineers LI. That effected things.

I have played around that many times as OP has and I never had the music stick last more then a few secondsTank207 wrote...
Wow... I've lost count of how many times I've played through the original Mass Effect but I never knew about that music. I just started doing a run with a renegade engineer so I'm going to have to try this out when I get to Virmire.

The ME2 engineer is fun and ME3 engineer class is a blast and if you have tali in your squad you can have two drones and a sentry turret going at the same time which together makes another squademate I think (in the amount of power they have). Oh and if you don't let balak go in bringing Dow the sky it is a different batarian that you see in ME3andy69156915 wrote...
My willpower... Fading! I finished ME1 an hour ago, and I've been sitting here on the class select screen of ME2 for half an hour. I loved my last infiltrator playthrough, so badass to just stealth around making quick kills, being some kind of cool assassin. But this is supposed to be an engineer playthrough. Aaaggghhh! Frustrating.

No quest log entries?Linkenski wrote...
Last time i did a trilogy playthrough (i play on PC) i tried going more to uncharted worlds i didn't have quest log entries for in ME1. At some point i landed on a planet full of Pyjaks that you could kill.
There is also a green planet somewhere that is full of deer-looking creatures.
The planet with the Pyjaks is Eletania. Mission: UNC: Lost Module
The planet with the space cows is Ontarom. Mission: UNC: Dead Scientists
Agreed on Virmire. Great mission.

Out the top of my head a few details that were great in the first game.
- Minimap for all missions.
- Lockers actually opened once you hacked them.
- Ground surface sounds.
- Music stingers.

So you've played ME 1 25(!) times and you've always run past that salarian?
No wonder people do not get ME 3's ending, they simply do not explore games enough. I think ME 3's ending is phenomenal in the way that it makes the players (some at least) search for clues in future playthroughs. And there are plenty of them.
Anyway, I'm glad you found it and your description of the music was interesting to read. Thanks.

It's really fun to draw out the fight against the mechs by not making Jacob do pull. I purposely went through all my clips and used overload dozens of times. Probably killed 50+ mechs.

And yeah Virmire is a great mission with great music. I also love how, depending on your choices, you end up fighting Saren at the tower instead of fighting him at the bombing-site. I think the music changes here too :-)
Okay now this is just funny. It's the same fight animations, just a different background; the same complaint said about ME3 that your choices don't change outcomes.
