Why ask, enjoy multiple playthroughs. In the end it will be personal preference and you have to decide for yourself.

Garrus is the best without a doubt. Their chemistry is great. Totally worth it.

Kaidan is also good if your Shepard is into the nice guy who's been their all along.

Liara is fine, just has to work with your particular playthrough. If you wish to play a lesbian Shepard, I'd lean more towards Samantha. Headcanon out the shower scene, and its quite good, though sadly limited to one game.

I prefer Liara...the chemistry between Jennifer Hale and Ali Hillis is fantastic, and I think she has the most complete romance arc and probably the best overall (with LotSB).

Alternative - do a Forever Alone Shep run.

This. Also something my Shep choose to or ended up doing.

I went with Liara in ME 1 & 2 and then cheated on her with Samantha. It was a good playthrough.

I never romanced Garrus as femshep, he's just... well, he's a bro. Romancing him sort of feels wrong. Having a platonic friendship feels right, romance not so much.

I very much advice against Jacob, but he was not on your list anyway. Both Kaidan and Liara are fine.

And yet it even starts here........ The hate Jacob wave.

Being a girl I considered Kaidan to be my Shep's LI first but then... Liara appeared and things just happened :P. No regret. Jennifer Hale x Ali Hillis voice acting is really something that make the romance seems so real. Got me all teary in the end :crying:. If you don't try a loyal Liara playthourgh ME 1-2-3, you're missing a lot

More like a "the Jacob romance in ME2 was very nice, but the writers completely forgot about it in ME3" warning.

I'll probably have a few "forever alone" FemSheps, though I can at least imagine a Colonist FemShep going back to her old homestead, finding someone and starting a family there... and raiders/slavers never try to hit Mindoir until a decade or so after she dies of old age.

I'm gonna have to through in my vote for this as well.  For me the two most natural feeling romances for femshep are Liara and Garrus, with Liara being the best.  As people have said, Jen Hale and Ali Hillis just have this fantastic chemistry that I don't see anywhere else.

And I understand OP it feels weird to have two women talk about having kids, but I would suggest just trying to go with it.  The rest of romance is really sweet and loving and the two honestly sound in love.  The EC goodbye between the two is heart-breakingly beautiful.  When Shep's voice cracks saying goodbye, I got seriously choked up.

Its definitely worth pursuing for those beautiful moments.

Garrus!

His ME2 romance really shows a vulernable, pained side of him. It broke my heart.

In 3 he's really sweet and caring.

If you like Lesbians, then go with Liara or Samantha.
If you like weird...sex that doesn't really work together, go with Garrus.
If you're normal, then go with Kaiden.
If you have a life, then go with nothing.

Garrus' romance arc is actually worth it, imho. I love that whole "best friends to more than that" transition that Garrus and Shep had  throughout the series.
Seems more naturally paced.

Not saying that Kaiden's and Liara's romances are "bad" in anyway. I just believe that Garrus' is a step better, for all the reasons everyone else had said throughout the thread.

My first femshep romanced Kaiden but left him on Virmire - realizing neither of them could live with the suspicion that her feelings might have affected her command judgment had it gone the other way, and as the superior officer, Kaiden was the right choice over sacrificing an enlisted soldier. This gave her story arc a tragic note from the first game that carried through very well, I thought (missed a LOT of the red hot XXXX scenes in the subsequent games of course ;)    Allowed hjer to turn considerably and believably renegade, and pursue a number of other romantic choices a bit before realizing she wasn't going to carry through.    An enjoyable contrast to some of my other sheps, male and female...

Kaidan hands down. His romance is amazing in the 3rd game. I'd say it's up there with Liara's

I always tought I would romance with Kaidan by all Trilogy, but then ME2 happened and I get Thane..well I like this romance the most and Im not able to return to Kaidan in ME3, even if Thane cameo in ME3 is done in a pathetic and lazy way ( thanks Devs). But if You want for yours Shepard romance, You can continue by whole Trilogy go to Kaidan or Liara ( if You are ok with same sex romances). Never tried Garrus becouse he is ratcher like youngest brother for my Shep, but if You are ok without LI in first ME/or with " cheating LI" in ME2, I think You can try. Don't touch other ME2 romances if You don't want to be screwed ( Jacob and Thane). Also remember that ME2 romances are unavailable in ME3 if You didn't start them in ME2.

Kaidan obviously. His voice actor is awesome.

Don't go with Liara unless you are prepared for hours of bad voice acting and cringeworthy scenes.

A little off topic apologies, is Jacks romance still possible with Ashley in ME3 or has that been patched now. Use to be you could have both. Seems like the right folks to ask here.

Well, I didn't like it too much in ME2, it was OK. But you're right, the reason I don't like it is the way the romance was treated in ME3

Either Kaidan, Liara or Garrus.
Imo Garrus is the best followed by Kaidan.

The Kelly romance is the most meaningful through all games.

I'd agree with this.  It was my preferred LI combo in the series.
