Despite After Earth being directed by M. Night Shalamaladingdong, it's not written by him. So it might actually be pretty good.

I see two sci-fi movies, both set on a ravaged, desolate earth. Will smith and the boy did fair in acting, but I'm not a huge fan of Tom Cruises'. Oblivion does have morgan freeman, though.
My prediction says: Oblivion will likely have better visual flair, and After Earth will be a bit more emotional and spiritual. They'll be alright movies.
