Will there be horses in DA3? Or animal companions?

I always killed me that in DAO the "tank" druid shape was a bear. I don't even know why, it just reminded me too much of WoW and my brain went "uh, no."

At least it didn't have a tree form.

You need to give your brain a fix of some D&D Druid style.
Perhaps a starter of Baldur's Gate, followed by a main course of Baldur's Gate 2?
I highly recommend Wild Shape once per day, taking on the form of a bear.

I demand star-nosed moles, no game is complete without them!

More animals would surely make druids happy.....are we even going to get a druid class in DAI?

Hahaha, star-nosed moles would be so very creepy! But I would love to see a druid class, something very involved in nature and the elements.

I have played those back when they were new-ish but that was so long ago I don't remember all too much of the gameplay at this point. I know WoW didn't invent it, at least, but unfortunately that's my most relevant memory.

How about a PC that can turn into a horse?

I demand to be able to have a polyamorous relationship with Morrigan and my horse.

Larger areas could mean more case for horses?  Plus, they really should put the cheval in chevalier

Probably not.

I say let Ash Warriors become a skill tree for actual warriors, where the Mabari is one of the sustatined abilities that you can summon and rank up, along with combat abilities.

Makes sense, right?

I can deal with it being a specailization as well.

I made the point of saying we can always use more specailizations, although my personal lofty heights of having 10 per class will likely never be reached because of limitations, but i'm spoiled by the career classes found in games like Ironclaw and Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 2nd.

10 seems a bit much but id like more choices even if u couldn't get half of them. my choice in da2 as a mage was force magic or blood. they both seem useless to me

Not to get way off topic, but yes. The devs have said that they think its silly to have no social (in-game) penalty or stigma to being a Blood Mage, so that probably means it will have some fallout/consequences in DA3.

That being said, if Blood Magic is as completely useless as it is in DA:O/DA2, then why bother? Sure, you can build a high Con MagHawke/Merril that could mop the floor doing damage, but you can also build a super powerful Force/Elemental MagHawke. I want to feel POWER if I am a blood mage. I want crazy bonuses to damage, I want abilities that make you think the game is poorly designed/balanced, they are so overpowerful.

Or, barring complete dominance in combat, I would like special abilities in dialogue, like BM mind control or a spell that tortures people into giving me information. Special quests to make my character/party more powerful because I walk on the dark side of magic. Think the sacrifice option at the end of the Alienage in DA:O, but for Blood Mages only.

Make people hate us for being a Blood Mage... and then make us LOVE playing a Blood Mage. Make us really question if our values are worth not having a venue to insane power. THAT would be an awesome gameplay mechanic.

And, also, a Mabari Hound specialization, as suggested by Links, of course (to get it all back on topic).

How about a dragon companion you've raised since it was an egg?

I know ten is unreasonable. Its my personal hope we have a ton of  specailizations but realistically I know to expect at most maybe six.

Not enough time. Dragons take 100+ years to fully mature. You'd be stuck with a tiny little gecko for three decades before it would be big enough to scare a chicken.

I wish it will be like the Assassin's creed saga, we can go faster and make speed missions, it's so cool! But a companion, I don't think so, it would be unnecessary, just a way to go faster on maps :)

The general lack of farm animals in general has always bugged me in DA games.

Horses allegedly exist in Thedas, or so the devs tell us. Even just having them and cows and sheep and goats, even as static models or minimally animated ones would have been alright. I'm not asking for grazing animals that move around across a region in random patterns that we can kill if we feel like it. Just a few standing around on farmsteads just to add to the sense of immersion.

For that matter deer, elk, foxes and other four-legged woodland critters would be cool too. We got bears and wolves covered, but as enemy units, which is perfect!
