out of interest, what parcelforce phone number are people using? seems like people are speaking to actual customer service reps, but every time I phone I get the useless automated system.

Am I the only one that received the e-mail from GAME stating:



"Dear Customer,



Thank you for your recent preorder.



Due to the industrial action by Royal Mail, we're doing things a little bit differently here at GAME

Towers to ensure we despatch your preorder in time for release day delivery. This includes

processing your order early.



As a result, you may have received an email telling you that 'your preorder is on its way'.

You may even find that your account has been debited.




Sadly this does not mean you'll be getting your game early. It simply means we've started the

ignition, our foot is to the floor, the wheels are spinning...



we only have to release the handbrake and your game is on its way!



In short, your preorder is ready and waiting and raring to go!

Hey Loneo, no I received that one as well, then later that day I received another one saying that my delivery was on its way.

I've had both through, Game said that despite the "not been sent out, lol" email my order HAD gone out as it had a parcelforce tracking number, which (they claim) is the same for any mail you've had with the tracking number included.

Shame the PF website seems to know nothing about it though..

Well that at least answers a few questions.

I ordered the CE pc version on express 24 as well and will be checking the tracker say around 5ish.

got off the phone with parcelforce, the woman on the phone reckons it "wasn't picked up" for some reason and she "thinks" they'll send me an updated mail asking to rearrange a new delivery date??



apparently this applies to anyone with a tracking number but no info showing on the PF website although this could easily just be some random idiot telling me anything she can to get me off the phone so who knows. time to ring up game and get some confirmation....again....on what the heck they're playing at.

bye the looks of tihngs they aint picked the games up from game yet theyll do this today and then our parcel force thing will update after 6pm and we should get it tomorrow after 9am so fingers crossed

Speaking of GAME, has anyone noticed they removed the Memory band and (recently added) Dalish Ring from the product description of the CE?

No I hadn't will look at that now, hmmm not sure I am bothered by this, as with no other stats it was going to be swapped out early....

Hate that they don't seem to have their finger on the pulse...

I presume that is because they are pre-order items, and soon it will not be possible to order for pre-order.

I got the same news in e-mail form, so I don't think that's the case. GAME obviously hasn't sent them out yet

I got the same news in e-mail format, about the packages having not be picked up from the sender, so obviously GAME hasn't sent them out yet. I'll be checking parcelforce before work, and then after (4:20pm and 8:30pm, respectively)



Hopefully it will actually have been posted around then. I'd like to get it tomorrow rather than Friday, since because I live a little distance away from any cities, I'm unlikely to get it in the morning.

best bet is check our package status after 6pm caus thats when they update there tracking system and im guessign by then it will say its on its way for delivery tomorrow morning

Just to let everyone know, I asked the guys at Parcelforce about it, and it seems they are as clueless as us, the parcels were supposed to be collected but were not... Below is the email I just got from them.



Dear Alisdair Smith





Thank you for your enquiry.





Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience caused to you as a result of this failure. I can understand your frustration at the delay in receiving your parcel.





According to our records, the item is still at the sender's address and has not been collected.





Please can you confirm with the sender that the parcel was collected by Parcelforce Worldwide and the parcel number given to you is correct.





If the parcel has been collected, we will need to start a search for the item. If the parcel has not been collected, then the sender will need to rebook the collection.





If you need us to place a search on the item, please send the following details:





Parcel Number

Sender's Details (name, address, *contact telephone number)

Well im glad im not the only one having problems with GAME. What's the point in pre-ordering when they are going to hold onto the games until thursday and then sending them out so you get them next day? I might as well have pre-ordered instore and just asked them to do me a favour and hold onto my copy. As far as im aware after several phone calls to GAME and ParcelForce i will not be recieving my copy until Friday, which is pointless as im not going to be here to collect it. Plus they dont redeliver on Saturdays so i have to wait till Monday, if my next door neighbour isn't in to accept it.



Bloody annoying.

Spoke with GAME and apparently they won't realise the parcels untill tomm. So delivery will be on Friday, which sucks balls since PF always come to me about 8pm:-(

We all seem to be in the same boat, my tracking number is now being recognised by the parcel force site but doesn't give me any details :( .



I'm not gonna kick off at game because although I really, really, really want it early, all they ever promised me was that my game would be here on the release date ie fri *sigh*.



So although it sucks, it's probably not fair to complain to them. If however it isn't here on fri or parcel force pulls one of their stealth moves where they slip the card through the door and run away with my game ....... all hell will break loose!!

What amuses me is that on the expected delivery date, which they have also just updated it says 04/11/09.



Hmm really guys?

Anyway I'm allowing myself to hope that this means it'll arrive tomorrow.

I have that on mine too. Hrm.. maybe it will be coming tomorrow, but then again maybe Parcelforce will be holding it. The parcels have definitely left Game, though!

I'll definitely miss it if it comes tomorrow and requires a signature, though.

Yup mine has updated with the same. Interesting thing is though... GAME hasnt debited my account yet >.> I would have thought they'd do that the second they released the game, if not before.

mine still just says "Service: Express 24" but then i only got the 'your order is on it's way' email at 4:30 this afternoon, so it might have been too late to go out in the batch your lot went in :\\



still, its possible mine went to a different hub or hasn't been sorted there yet, not very likely though.

Your account was probably debeted, it just takes time for the bank to update your account. Ussualy takes about 2 working days.

Mine has just been updated to being sorted in the national hub too... Going by the "24" promise, you'd expect ours to be delivered by tomorrow. Fingers crossed for everyone.
