Well, after I get settled into the new house and all, I'll be getting my birthday present which will be the Mass Effect trilogy for PC. I really hope I can adjust to the keyboard and mouse because for third-person games, I have not had much success on PC.

Yay!

....apparently the options aren't too keen on customizability, but you can check a guide in my sig for how to make your commands work the way you want them to work, though.

You could also connect a Xbox360 controller if you have a xbox360, don't know about PS3 controllers.

Welcome to the PC Knighthood, Mi'lord.

If you are in need of noble companions, I offer thee my steel. Just look for my summoning sign which is emblazoned down below. And again welcome: Enjoy the cookies and meat. And don't look directly at Sir Ziegrif the Jester, or they will remove they eyes FOR SCIENCE.

Does that work nowadays? Since I know some people were complaining at launch since it apparently gamepads weren't supported back then.

I have about 4 or 5 hours on PC after maxing an xbox manifest. Trust me, it's like night and day. Headshots are so aplently with that mouse (I have around 500 already) and the game runs so fluidly and the quick turning is so good and the remappable controls, and... and... I'm rambling. I'm starting to get back into PC gaming because my dumb friends made me play poopBox 360, jerks.

I played the ME trilogy on the 360 and when the ME3 demo was available on the 360 and PC, I decided to give the PC a try because I have a friend that almost exclusively games on the PC and he wanted to play ME3 together. So I thought.. why not.

Man, what a difference. I was getting so frustrated with the 360 version, not to mention my headphones for my PC are far and away better than stereo for the TV. Just a night and day experience. At that moment, I bought the trilogy for the PC and all the DLC and replayed through it. (completed it on the 360 first with my original shepard though).

PC is just so much better, it's not even funny. I just need a new video card and I'll be all set for the next 4 years in PC gaming.

I use a Logitech 350 Gamepad for quite a few games, the Need for Speed series primarily as for some reason both Blackbox and Criterion absolutely suck at programming usb driving wheel controls.

ME3 is one of those game, a controller will not work.

Good luke enjoying driving games with an on and off keyboard.

A sterring wheel is better, but a proper steering wheel, such as the G27, would set you back €220+

A controller is required in games such as F1 2010/2011/2012, Project Cars etc.......

Also open world games with cars.....

The only game that plays better on a controller is Fifa soccer (I GET THAT IT'S CALLED FOOTBALL)
and that's about it.

except there's no assisted aim on PC so it's gonna be quite hard. Nothing beats the precision of keybaord + mouse.

... if you've already spent £2k+ on a PC gaming rig, another couple of hundred quid for a decent steering wheel (or joystick for flight/space sims) is neither here nor there... the PC gaming master race has money as well as cookies!

(granted I mostly game on the PC but I bought a racing chair and expensive steering wheel for my PS3... why? GT5 basically)
