I don't remember where or when I read it, but didn't David Gaider once say that if we ever went to Orlais we would attend a mask ball? He might have said half joking, but am I the only one who would absolutely love that idea?

Note to Bioware: If you do, please, PLEASE, give us some pretty dresses to wear and not those unisex clothes from Mark of the assassian or ugly housrobes.

I love Ball levels in games. Dishonored has a Masquerade Ball level, and it's one of my favorites because of the atmosphere. A big part of that was that Corvo was being stealthy, hiding in plain sight amongst enemies. Another way to do it could be as a political level, where the Inquisitor is trying to sway people over to her side, or something. (Like the Landsmeet? Perhaps?)

One thing I would be against is combat, or, at the least, a lot of combat. Although fighting in a fancy ballroom dress would be kind funny.

I want it to be a fun mission ,going a round stealing or putting things in people's drinks and such.
And finally we get to meet Empress Celene .

There's enough fighting in these games - a political mission would be greatly appreciated (by me, anyway)

I would love a ball. I always want to do stuff that makes my character more real, so yes going to a party is one of them.

Indeed.

And it would be amusing to choose which companion bring to the ball with you and getting some specific dialogue for each one (amused, thrilled, disgusted, bored) depending on their personality.

I support Orlesian balls. It'd also be the one place where I also agree we need pretty dresses =)

Oh this idea I love. I really enjoyed the part of MOA that wasn't about killing, which is why i always use the stealth option. Please do this for us Bioware:)

Reminds me a bit of one of the Dishonored missions.

I'd like to attend an orlesian ball. Getting involved in the politics of Orlais, perhaps stopping some bards using MotA style machinations (poison the punch, seduce the elf servent, convince the guard that the gentleman over there is wearing the wrong kind of shoes and must be escorted out of the building immediatly), all the while attempting to make allegiences and forcing your enemies against eachother. Oh maybe even hiring antivan crows (for once) to deal with a rival at the ball.

Masquerade! Paper faces on parade . . . Masquerade! Hide your face,so the world will never find you!

I'm all for it, and I hope it is an important scene, not just something you pop into for 5 seconds.

Only if David Bowie is present as either the voice for host of party or present in form of a character model within the crowd.

I hope it's not, I liked that similar things happens both in TW1 (posh reception quest) and TW2, Skyrim also and even DA2 MotA had such elements. They were very enjoyable and do not see why taking a break from mindless slaughter of monsters would be bad thing. It still progresses and plays a part in the storylines only without sole reliance on combat to do so.

But I like killing my way to completion, especially when I have to kill a bunch of stuck up snobs:devil:

Seriously tho, I was thinking of more a option to be the scout instead of being the distraction. I get to sneak around and listen to my companions attempts at small talk.

Also, I really would like a option to just massacre my way threw.

Did you remember it from this article, OP? http://swooping-is-b...om/1286233.html

DG: "I'd like to visit Orlais, there's been a lot established about Orlais that I find very interesting. All I said to Mike one time was that "If we go to Orlais, I want a masquerade ball. I want a masquerade ball and dancing."

I really like the idea too. I want to experience the pageantry of Orlais.

I wonder if we'll have better dance moves than Commander Shepard

If they do include a ball, I want the PC to be forced to go, have a major story event happen there, the chance to act like Tony Stark (Iron Man), and get REALLY drunk.

What I want to do is make my own mask. Maybe cover it with any gorgeous design I can think of, or cover it with stuff I like. Like a mabari to show love for Ferelden and a griffin to represent the wardens.
