And no matter how impractical, uncomfortable or unrealistic it would be, I would still like the option for Lady mages to wear the dresses on the battlefield (this is Orlais, style comes before everything else anyway)
This guy made High Heels seem practical, I can belive anything.

How about a large scale coordinated dance number á la Phantom of the Opera or that Prince Charming music video.
Blood mage inquisitors should totally be able to force people to do this as a distraction.
Yeah, an Orlesian ball is everything I ever wanted

Me too! I want my Quizzy to go to a ball in a fancy frock with BIG hair, a fan might be nice too.
I vote no to Hawkesque party pant suits. They're ok for those that like them but this is Orlais. ![]()

I don't remember where or when I read it, but didn't David Gaider once say that if we ever went to Orlais we would attend a mask ball? He might have said half joking, but am I the only one who would absolutely love that idea?
I would absolutely love to see a masked ball. I think they were considering it seriously at some point and hope they can spend the resources to put it in and do it well. Oh, and I want our Inquisitors to take part in it, talking to people incognito from behind a nice dress and a feathered mask! That would be awesome (and I don't use that overused word lightly)!

I could easily see something like an Orlesian ball being the "almost impossible to complete" part for a Qunari PC. I can't imagine the tippy top of Orlesian society would be all too thrilled to see a Qunari at their party.

This. I could see the ball becoming an event within the game that really exemplifies the different results of race selection within the game.

I like the idea of attending an Orlesian ball. Dressing fancy like Shepard did in the Kasumi DLC. Hope it will be something like the Orlesian ball in the novel DA Asunder. Trying to lower someone else their status while improving yours.

Just pretend that your horns are part of your mask

Yeah, Agreed. Unless it's after enough time that the Inqusitor's fame and power is enough to scade the nobles.I could easily see something like an Orlesian ball being the "almost impossible to complete" part for a Qunari PC. Otherwise, i doubt an elf can partecipate as a guest either.

The height and build are a little difficult to hide.

Infiltrating a fancy ball sounds like it would be very amusing and satisfying, especially if you get some good banter from the companion(s) you bring. You know there's going to be assassins and other pompous lowlife to deal with. I can dig it.

It could be fun if there were different ways to infiltrate the party based on your race, class and even gender. Like an Elf could infiltrate the party as either a servant or a mistress, Dwarves as... well... a Dwarven guest.. Humans as anything since they are humans. A Qunari would then face the challenge of fitting in to an impossible scenario.

I can see a qunari posing as a personal bodyguard for a companion who is posing as a wealthy noble.

Hmm, it'd a nice idea. Though we'd need a companion with an high standing.

Cassandra might be a good candidate. She even has the accent to boot.

I don't think she'd like attending balls.

It's not becuase she's strong, but because of what it's stated in her character kit.

For my sake, she'd better like parties! How am I supposed to do everything as a Qunari when Cassandra won't play the part with me?
