I read that the Dragon Age updater automatically installs patches, but does one need to be logged in (within the Dragon Age Origins main menu) in order to get the updates? Even though I'm logged in, I'm not getting any update options or automatic updating going on.

Patches aren't automatically installed (or even downloaded). At the moment you have to download patches manually.

Thanks, I downloaded and installed that patch shortly after creating this thread. I guess I'll just do manual updates from this point on.

The updater program is what keeps DAO in synch with the on-line account.
I found this out when I was fixing Dragon Age forcing my 1.5TB disk array (G:\\\\) to be included in the Windows System restore backup 40 GB (C:\\\\).
If it isn't running you will lose your DLC until the next time you start and it is running.

Hey guys. Ive had so much problems with this downloadable content and some other issues. First of all the screen under your registered games content, it shows my content as greyed out with (---) symbol instead of something clickable as more info or download. Ive tried to fill in my redeem code but it still didnt show up in the in game window where u have your downloadable content. Ive tried to talk with the EA-staff chat but unfortunately they havent been able to do something ground breaking about it, other than sending me around with their level escalating system of problem watevar... oh and other than that I cant see the witchhunt patch either it simply doesnt show up either
I hope you guys have something useful I could do coz i feel ive tried most of it and its so frustrating coz this game really has potential if not of all this retardation failure of these small installement.

Adding, if purchased content is not showing up under your registered content on this site, EA technical support are the only ones who can help you. A receipt should have been emailed to you when you made the purchase.
