I would like a villain similair to Javier Bardem's character in Skyfall. Very cunning, but has a great sense of humor as well.

I'm kind of hoping it's Morrigan and whatever it is she's doing with the soul of an old god

As much as I am against using demons in yet another DA game - I think a Pride demon would be easy to state as the mastermind behind both factions (Templars & Mages)

That being said - I hope there are no "Big Bads".

Sure - have figure-heads of both organizations - but thinkers are often not the physically tough combatants simple minded video games that focus primarily on violence pretend they are.

I'd be amazed if "defeating" someone became a more cerebral event instead of: "We now meet in the grand hall and BATTLE ROYALE!"

If there must be a "Big Bad" _ I'd like it to be "The Mage Rebellion" or "The Templars" - and not just one super saiyan with a big red lyrium sword.

I would like Vengeance/Anders to be the big bad, I think it would be a
nice arch for the character; starts out as a hero- then a
terrorist/freedom fighter- Now villain with an army of daemons.

Anders can die and why would Vengeance bring an army of demons?

He does summon some shades if you take him on Legacy...

That was such a stupid writing. It completely goes against everything writers established in DA2 or Awakening. It was really out of character. Never had more morally pure companion in Fade as Justice was. Why couldnt they just sumom some ancient tainted grey warden spirits...

Well, we already had crazy soldier, crazy templar and now with such an awesome comflict as this mage templat war is, I am seriously expecting some evil mage. Again.

What about crazy chantry high priest. Bioware already went against templars, mages, nobles,. I think its time for some fundamentalist Maker follower. Suppose Meredith was, but I thought about something more Maker like. Seeing as the direction Bioware is taking is actually somethign along the lines of Fade vs Thedas. I  think we need some Marthin luther type of a reformation.  Somethign both sides can stand against, so we can avoid this Templar-mage war storyline.

Since there's no evidence of who or what the game's antagonist may be, any speculation would be closer to wild guessing.

Very true!

But that hasn't stopped most forumites from believing rumours and their own opinions, to be strong possibilities for DA3.

Saying that Cole or Cullen will be a companion, is purely a wild guess. Saying that we will be able to travel across Thedas, is purely a wild guess. Saying that Corypheus is going to be the main antagonist, is also a wild guess.

I want someone close to you to be the bad guy.

You know, the one person you don't suspect, the man behind that curtain that is right under your nose. Cliche I know, but it works so well if pulled off correctly.
