Yes ! Jowan deserves a cameo at the very least. He was cool.

Well, let's see, out of the DA:O origin companions:

Mage: Dead or hermit status
Dalish: DA2 party member (Merrill) / Dead (Tamlen)
City Elf: Alienage
Human Noble: Dead
Dwarf Noble: Alive in Denerim
Dwarf Casteless: Dead

Gorrim and Jowan are the only ones who might have a cameo, because Soris never asked for this, but Jowan could be dead and Gorrim seems happily married. :)

Jowan's dead in at least one of my playthroughs. Having him appear in anything but a cameo would be...tricky...

I never cared for Jowan. If he showed up, I might be excited solely because he's a familiar face, but there's only NPC's I'd like to show up much more.

Like Wade.

Cameos of previous Companions/NPC's is fine. They added bits to the story in DA:2, I see no reason why they couldn't add similar tidbits in the new DA.

As for Jowan? I didn't even remember who he was, until I read this thread... Just how memorable was he, really? :)

I liked him and always wished I could have set him free, but noooooo, bloody BW didn't give me that option :( He was silly and naive and passionate, and if it'd been possible, my mage warden probably would have made a move. (On the other hand, I have yet to fully romance Anders because I keep deleting those Hawkes because they fall "out of sync" with my conception of them, so it's not a "I lust after whiny mages who do bad things" thing.)

He’s going to be dead or tranquil (I can't remember which the tower does) in most people games though. At least with Leliana I’m pretty sure most people didn't kill her.

Well you can, if you let him out of the cage but tell him to ****** off rather than try to help he survives and takes to escorting and protecting refugees.

He was a blood mage with an obnoxious voice and he's either dead or Tranquil in all my plays. I suppose he could show up as a Tranquil in a cameo. The forum outcry would be delicious and offer BioWare some bonus fan tears to drink.

Hmm, for some reason I didn't get this option. I probably didn't pick the right dialogue choices for it

Technically, Jowan was going to be a companion in DA:O. That was eventually scrapped, but this is why he features quite so strongly.

Jowan doesn't even get a good resolution in DAO: you can only save him if you send him on his way in rude and strong terms(you can't part with him kindly even if he was your best friend); and his quest, Jowan's Intention, is bugged even in the latest patch.

I don't think they will spend time to include him in DA3.

He could get the Anders treatment but completely opposite. He's now an epic badass who you always want to have in your party. He makes fun of the mages whining about the Templars/Chantry and won't go behind your back blowing up institutions with magical poop triggering a civil war.

I agree he would be great to see return, however I think too many people killed him, so I doubt our wishes will come to fruition.

I'd love, love to see Jowan again but it won't happen. Too many variants on his future, he can die and isn't a popular character with players.

Yes, I've heard about that. I actually thought I will be able to invoke the Right of Conscription when Earl Aemon was healed and they've asked me what I think they should do to Jowan. I soo wanted to make him a Warden (yeah-yeah, we had no idea how to do the Joining, but surely Earl Aemon had no clue about that, so..) He and my mage were BFFs. I was sad to see it was not an option..

So, I will add my support for Jowan, seeing that so few ppl like him.. :?

A Gorim cameo would be very nice. Jowan died in over 2/3's of my games. Lily deserved better.

Not Jowan, but I'd love to see Lily back. Given her history in the chantry, then Jowan's betrayal, followed by her imprisonment, her story makes the mage/templar war the perfect backdrop for her return. There's so much that could be done with her that it almost seems like a waste not to use her.

Thinking about it, if she were a companion, Jowan living or dying could have a significant impact on her fate. It would be nice to see at least one choice from Origins actually matter in the long run.

Shouldn't this be a question and not an exclamation? Just so future visitors of this thread might correctly interpret "Jowan" as "What do you want"?
