So currently I'm not sure on how to evolve my powers.  I've already decided that I won't be putting points into lash as I sorta noticed it's pretty useless on higher difficulties unless I evolve it with shield penetration.  I would like a build that can do relatively well on higher diffculties like Gold.

I currently have a predator & a disciple equipped.

My current build as of now is:
Biotic Charge: Radius.  I'm sure I'll get barrier for lvl6 but I'm not sure if I should get Weapon or Power Synergy for lvl5?

Smash:  Biotic Combo.  Again I'm pretty sure I'll get radius for lvl6 but again I'm not sure if I should get Recharge Speed or Force & Damage for lvl5.

Fitness:  No idea what to pick, should I concentrate on survivability or power?

Phoenix Training:  Damage & Capacity and Power Damage.  For lvl 6 I'm not sure if I should get Shot Gun & Pistol or Weapon Damage.

Suggestions on equiptment and weapons also welcomed.

Thanks much appreciated.

This is the only real build.

You CAN go full melee fitness and do good on gold but you have to be a pretty good player on gold first before you can even bother doing that.

Predator and Disciple? That seems to be your main problem right there. Get a real gun like the Talon.

Guns are about as much as you have in your inventory.

I'd agree with the above build if you plan to skip lash... personally I find a 6/6/6/4/4 build to work just as well (slightly less durable, but lash provides a long range power that allows for range flexibility).

I'm also a much bigger fan of armor damage on smash as well instead of radius, especially if you're skipping lash because you plan to play Gold/Platinum which has TONS more armored enemies, making smash a reliable boss killer, without the armor evo you'll spend almost twice as long killing an armored enemy, while the trade off is the POSSIBILITY of hitting more enemies, which is tougher to get 3 enemies in your sights vs the probability of fighting an armored enemy.

I personally prefer a Hurricane + Acolyte weapon combo (use ULM on both if you have low levels), as the Acolyte makes it easy to get to boss armor and then use smash through walls/cover, while the Hurricane provides a lightweight high DPS gun for situations when smash isnt safe nor practical.

Honestly the real key to the Phoenix Vanguard is learning proper placement on maps so you can always safely smash through walls/soft cover, and never have to be in the direct line of fire... I'm not saying you should simply sit in a corner the entire time, merely that you should always look for spots on every map to approach and trick enemies into coming through a path that allows you to safely smash through cover. Maps like Goddess, Glacier, Ghost, and Giant all have TONS of awesome spots for doing this that allow you to move around most of the map killing enemies anywhere they are while safely protecting yourself at the same time.
