I was wondering if companions are actually rejectable in this game. After talking to both Leliana and Sten I rejected their offers, seeing as that's what my character would do. Point being though is that 9 times out of 10 you don't have a say in the matter. Even if you tell them to bugger off they still come with. I'm not so sure with this game.
So can anyone tell me if companions are actually rejectable permanently? Did I just screw myself over?

Yeah, you can tell them to leave permanently whenever you talk to them. I tired it with Morrigan and it worked. Not so sure about Alistair.

Well that's good to know. Does this include when you first meet them as well?
This is what I get for playing my "I only look after me and mine. I don't need the likes of you" character.

To make matters worse, if you have more than 3 companions total there is a selection screen as to who you currently want in your party. Eg I had Alistair, Morrigan and Dog when I found Shen or w.e. and when he joined my party it went to a party selection screen. So you get to pick and choose amongst everyone, ala Mass Effect

I would guess if you accepted the companions however the free ones would reside in the camp, yes? That way you could pick and choose who you wanted at any given time so long as you didn't chase them off?

Me? I'm whiny. If I missed something like a companion I'd cry. If you don't suffer from the same effects I admire you.

I try and stick by my character's personality.... It's hard considering I want to do all the content and have all the companions. She really doesn't give a **** about helping people.
I'm not crazy, I swear.
