I've registered my game, set up my account, but I get "You are not allowed to post in these forums" or some thing like that.....and I'm just trying to post in the game discussion groups...what's up? This is highly annoying. Esepcially since I couldn't find any help issues related to this.

(In this case, "success" will mean, NOT inside of your profile, not yet.)

Do you see the stylized "D" with the pictures for various messagers whose registration dates (here) go back any length of time?  That means our Profile is up to date.  At this moment in time, 10:30 AM CST, you have no such letter.

It might be taking time for the Registration to process to the site, similar to how Character Profile Updates can take a LONG time to show up on the site. Give it some time.

Euryipides, I see a Registration D thing under your portrait now. Give it another try.

In my case, I have previously successfully posted a question to the Dragon Age quests (spoiler warning) forum. Today, I went there to pose a question (specifically regarding Topsider's quest). . . and now, it says I don't have permission to post to the very forum to which I've posted before.

Obviously, my game has been successfully registered. (So much so, that I've puchased downloadable content for it and have posted here before).

How can I fix whatever's gone wrong? Thanks!

I have had this same problem also myself. I sent a message to Stan about it, and I will now message him to let him see that others are having the same problem

Thanks; I'm guessing it's simply because this site is technically a beta and thus in flux. Still, it can be a mite aggravating when you really would like an answer to what appears to be a Catch-22 in the game.

And have multiple forum accounts/game accounts? Forgive me if I've misunderstood, but this doesn't seem like much of a solution. :-/

Register the game.

Okay. . . how would I re-register it, precisely? From the Start menu options, there's Web links, EA Support, Dragon Age Origins, Uninstall Dragon Age, and View Readme; within the game, there's Options (pertaining to in-game settings) and so on. Nothing I see seems to indicate registration or re-registration.

Not trying to be difficult, honest. :-)

The exact same way you did the first time.

You know, when I registered it, it was during installation, and it prompted me. I'm not about to reinstall the game for the sake of asking questions on a buggy board. :-P

Your replies seem to be a bit on the terse side. I'm sorry if you're having a bad day, so I'll wait and see if anyone else has more helpful suggestions. :-)

I was not aware of this. My Games -> Register Games.

Your post implied you were familiar with the process. Sorry I came off that way.

Can you please explain where you are not able to post so I can investigate?

Thanks. :)

Hi Chris, and I'll try to explain it to you.

There are times, when I click on a subject that I see and when I read it, I deside to post an answer to it. In fact I wanted to post in this thread http://social.biowar...555160/1#565708

When I tried to, it told me that I wasn't allowed to post in it. Said I was restrited from posting.

Chris as you can see I can now post in it. What ever is happening happens only once in a while. I'm not sure if it something that is going on with a thread at the time, or that if I'm logged in, but not logged in as far as the fourm is concerned.

Ok. It may be Deus Ex Machina, but we'll see if we can track anything down.

Thanks for the heads up.

Ginasue, the link you gave is for this same thread! Maybe you went to as locked thread before? We can't post on those... only Mods and ppl with higher clearance (BW guys?) can!

As for re-doing the registration... just deleted the registered key and register it again, if that's the problem. It's pretty easy and no one would need to reinstall the game for that.

http://social.biowar...es_register.php

Here you can register the game or remove registration if you want to!

I have a similar problem to ddavitt in that I get the 'You do not meet the requirements to post in this forum' type message when I have posted in the past!!
What do I do?

For a while I was having this problem, it seems to have cleared up because so far I havn't had one thread I couldn't post into.

If the thread was being locked, or two many at the time posting in it, it could be having that problem. I did go back and check to make sure I was registered, and I was.

Does the "you don't have permission...." about 50% of the time for me. Game is registered, its bloody annoying!
It would appear that the forum is having problems recognising when I log on that I already registered my game.
