There's a reason most sticky holders are Infiltrators, they (and Vanguards) are primarily the "Rogue" class (deal huge damage to single target) and that's what stickies are. They complement those playstyles. Homing grenade do suffer from the "evasion factor" (As does every homing projectile) and are my least favorite.

Anyone saying Homing grenades are bad need to take another look at the amount of damage they do and the debuffing power they give in Rank 6 - it more than justifies a slight travel time.

That's not the entirety of they're weak, have a long animation, and a poor radius, enemies being able to dodge is just another reason why they're bad. The drell infil/turian sab would have been better off with incinerate instead. Slightly less damage but almost no firing animation, qucker travel, and capacity is not limited to what your gear allows you and what you can fish out of ammo boxes.
