What do you think are the worst grenades?

Homing are definitely the worst with their 10 minute travel time and only average damage. Next are Frag Grenades. All the others are great, including Stickies.

My money's on Homing G's... Travel time makes it only useful against bosses, without manual control/aiming i'ts almost impossible to maximize its aoe and hit multiple enemies.
I'm surprised many chose Stickies.. Once you get used to aiming stickies they are far from the worst nades, I believe stickies have the highest damage in the game and the application of ammo bonuses is just icing on the cake..

All of the Grenades could use a buff. Especially Inferno, Homing, and Sticky.

A shotty 4/6/6/6/4 HI is awesome. Decimates Atlases and Primes(esp. their armor) with TC>Sticky nade>Cryo debuff>Shoot needs to be close though so that cryo will hit before nades explode..

I also dislike Lift Grenades. I know they deal a crapload of damage but the fact is they don't lift anything, ever. Anything that could get lifted just dies and that just makes them stupid to me.

I'm probably the least effective with Sticky Grenades, just because the best way to use them is to stick them right on a boss enemy, and I am not good at hitting targets with them.  Especially anorexic Banshees.  But that's my problem, not the Stickies' problem, and they do ridiculous amounts of damage if you can stick them in the right place and make sure they detonate under the Cloak bonus.

Homing Grenades are actually probably the worst, but no grenades are bad, really.

Yeah, I hate them too.
3k+ damage to Armored enemies? Totally lame.
1.5k biotic damage over an area of 200 square meters? Needs a buff badly.

Yep, this works really well.  I calculated it one time and I think a Sticky Grenade with maxed damage and Armor damage, with TC bonus and Cryo debuff, does almost 7000 damage to armor.  It might actually do more than 7000 damage with the right ammo powers equipped.  This is the one and only build I actually like to use the Crusader for.  You become a designated armor wrecker.  It can have some trouble with mooks though.

OT - None of the grenades are bad though people tend to give Sticky, Frag and Homing Nades some doubts, possibly because of their inability to multi-detonate or prime. Lift Grenades would be up their too if they were on more than one class (a class moreso used a melee build even).

 

Off host i'd say ~50% of the grenades I throw are blanks.

The empty-hand motion gets me killed so often.

Definately NOT Inferno Grenades, lol. I just wrecked two games with the KS spamming the inferno's and making them go BOOM! with Carnage. Over and over. Me like. Anything that didn't die in the FE would drop anyways to the DoT! I'm gonna have fun rocking this KS for 200 waves, hehe. :D Why don't I see more peeps with the KS?!

lol at people saying Stickies are the worst. They're actually the most damaging, their only downside is the small radius, which is a good because it keeps them from being OP. 5,000+ armor damage and ammo power application. What more could you want?

I wish proximity trap evolution actually worked more often.

I've
only seen it work once; every other time enemies will walk through a
field of proximity trap stickies and not a single one goes off.

I like all the grenades. They all have their usefulness although I cans see why people hate on Homing and Sticky.

Homing grenades is pretty negligible in really good teams where everyone can kill bosses even before the grenade hits. But it does decent damage and can track fairly well in my experiences. It's also good in CQC.

Sticky is hard to aim, so it's not the easiest grenade to use which is why it gets a lot of hate. But bosses are usually big targets anyways, and it's designed specifically to fight boss armor. Would not use it to nuke spawns unless it is a spawn of Brutes and Ravagers.

Well, I find the Sticky hard to use for it's range is so low and the lift grenades are hard to aim... the others have their usages.
I found that the Homing G's are good, but you hardly get most use of them in a public games, cause people have a rush to get killed. The enemy and themselves.

Arc Grenade - Great AoE and Stuns, No real negative.
Cluster Grenade - Good Damage and AoE, Misses a cluster a lot.
Frag Grenade - Good Damage and DoT, No real negative.
Homing Grenade - Powerful and versatile(Double and Armor Damage, DoT etc.), Long cast and travel time.
Inferno Grenade - Great AoE, DoT and Panics, No real negatives.
Lift Grenade - Great Damage and AoE, No real negatives
Multi-Frag Grenade - Great Crowd Control, Awful at distance
Sticky Grenade - Great Damage and applies Ammo Damage, Impossible to aim.

Sticky's are my less favorite with Multi-Frag second.

Stickies. I have never really had any success with those grenades, and I didn't even touch the homing grenades because the really slow travel time. All the other grenades are really good. Lift grenades are very good especially with the power boost from tech armor and biotic charge, cluster nades are awesome for the drellguard, multi-frags are good for carpet bombing, arc grenades are awesome for tech bursting, inferno nades are awesome FE primers and DoT beasts, regular frags are handy for when you need them.

Cluster 'Nades are some of, if not the, best there is.
Worse is by far Homing, though, with Lift being up there for it's long detonation time.

Vanilla frags are bleh. Multi's are better.

Not a fan of Lift 'nades, either. Clusters are better imo.
