They are, by far, the cheapest faction in the game. Seeker swarms, webbing, Scion Shield negate, Praetorian cover-penetrating lasers, insta-down Abominations. What the hell, why make such a cheap faction? No other faction is nearly as cheap and Collectors have an annoying tendancy to ignore Biotic/tech explosions. Seriously, they make Gold and Platinum nearly impossible thanks to their sheer OPedness. Instead of nerfing all our characters, Collectors need a nerf BIG TIME!

The collectors are a little OP, the prime's drone makes me want to dropkick the Fing TV out the window.

I think the idea was to fight harbingers 'chosen people' and give an idea of how powerful he (and by extension they) are. Instead what we get is the most one sided fight this side of gravity.
Even the normal abominations do a great Johnny storm impression, even unit has two forms which usually save them from certain death.

Collectors are by far and away the easiest faction to headshot for all the weapon users out there. Collector Infantry heads are gigantic, aboms have low health anyway. Scions barely move when they are attacking, and Praetorians have possibly the biggest headshot box of any enemy in the game.

For those that don't know, the headshot for praetorians is the pile of skulls below the eyes. You have to blow off the two panels to reveal it. After that just pour bullets into there and not only will they drop unimaginably fast, but it staggers them a ton more, almost to the point of not being able to attack at all if the group is focusing on it.

I'd rather fight of 4 Praetorians and 4 scions inside a small little room in Glacier than fight of a single Geth unit on any difficulty.
They are not the cheapest faction.

Or were those replaced by tech too?

PCers will have better luck with headshot bonuses. For the Praetorian, it's still fine, but you always have to correct for auto-aim on console, unless you hip-fire. A lot of times, it doesn'ts seem worth it to take the portion of a second to aim upwards rather than just firing.

I kinda don't mind Collectors, though. Except on Platinum. As an all Volus squad. On London. With a center hack.

Yeah, last night's all-Volus run was a bit rougher.

You do realize that the Geth prime has the lowest DPS of any boss enemy, right? (substituting Ravagers for Banshees/Brutes) They basically just carry giant stun guns.

It's not the primes, it's the stunlock. And the ****ing combat drone stunlock which pulls you out of a sprint and out of revives.

Honestly, it's mostly that ****ing combat drone. If I could remove them from the game, I would.

The problem is, they're significantly more difficult vs. the other factions on any given level of difficulty. Yet they don't give you any greater of a credit or XP reward.

I think the Collectors are quite balanced tbh. Once you learn to prioritise their swarms they don't seem nearly as bad.

Krogan = highly stun resistant, N7 Destroyer = stun immune.
Rocket troopers are way worse than primes if you ask me - there are more of them, they do more damage than primes, their rockets home in on you, and they can triple tap their launchers for rediculously high RoF.

Collectors aren't so bad as long as you're playing as a grenade / weapon class. Krosent / Demolisher gets hit by seeker swarm? I shout "Look at all the f*cks I don't give!" and shower the map with grenades!

Most times i find geth worse. The rocket troopers mixed with the prime drones and primes are just horrible. There are some days though that collectors makes the game almost as terrible mainly due to burst firing collector captains that somehow keep popping up everytime i turn a corner. Cyclonic 3s? Not enough, say goodbye. Lucily those are rare. A lot rarer than the prime drone/rocket trooper/prime blast combos

its the combat drones stagger and the prime taking advantage of that by shooting you a few times, perhaps you somehow survived that bombardment and you go behind a wall...only to find a geth turret shooting you in the back.
