What the hell, why make such a cheap faction? No other faction is nearly as cheap and Collectors have an annoying tendancy to ignore Biotic/tech explosions. Seriously, they make Gold and Platinum nearly impossible thanks to their sheer OPedness. Instead of nerfing all our characters, Collectors need a nerf BIG TIME!

I finally experienced the butt laser yesterday. A praetorian landed facing a team mate, and I thought that would be a good time to get off a few free claymore shots. Nope! Butt laser.

It's probably already been stated but my only real problem with the collectors is the possessed scions ability to launch grenades straight through hard cover and walls irrespective of your position on the map!

Gold collectors are def over-tuned, esp the possessed troopers, captains, and reg captains. They can take you down nearly as fast as a cerb turret. Every match on gold vs. collectors is always a huge drain on consumables. Sure, I may still extract usually vs. them, but its a chore. Also have to run to the ammo box more often than vs. other factions due to too many of their units becoming bullet-sponges thanks to too frequent possession (and yes, this is with doing things like bursting scion shoulders).
They may not wipe people as often because they can't cause revive circles as much or as badly as other factions can, but that's pretty much the only reason they can still be beat in pugs, from my experience. People use rockets way more readily vs. them than any other faction.

Is that all you need to gauge the difficulty of a faction? Completion rate data?

Juste like there is a difference between theroy and practice there is a difference between experiencing a game and reading data about said game.

Does your data take into account the amount of frustration experienced by  the players during a game? Does it tell you how many times an enemy dodged a biotic / tech power coming at it from behind? Does it tell you the amout of luck they add? The level of experience of the players (no, the N7 rating doesn't say anything about the player's experience)?

So please, stop hiding behind data to claim that Collectors aren't that hard. Claiming that is already ridiculous enough, but you go farther and claim that they're the easiest on Silver... I hope you're not trying to make us laugh 'cause it's not funny.

Half the time it is flaming abombs and the other times it is dealing with getting flanked by praetorians due to their fast movement or one team member not knowing that you are dealing with one as well and getting insta gibbed as your only way out is having to run past one. I have not had much luck blasting away the plates for head shots. Those flyers got too much health with their movement and missing with a slow weapon is basically a loss against them. Getting an abomb about dead before it reaches you and then turns into flaming mode with full health is also a pain. Those guys exploding should do devastating collateral damage to their own units given how powerful it is.

Geth for the most part I dont have an issue with. At mid range with good cover around the map, they are not a problem for me. Maps with a lot of open areas and low cover where you can get gibbed by rocket troops from different angles can happen. Bombers are a pain and for their dodge they just have too much armor and the stuns can be irritating to deal with. If I am a vanguard, I prefer geth as long as their pyros are not grouped up and if they are I let a team mate thin them out a tad first. Out of all bosses as a mele character, I would prefer to face primes, no insta gibs, mele animation is simple and easy to understand and not have to deal with the weird lag stuff that insta gibs deal with.

At the end of the day, if there is a faction that is going to bend me over, it is the collectors. If reapers swapped husks with the collectors then the reapers would get annoying while the collectors would feel less annoying and more manageable. By manageable, I mean by things not feeling so cheap in place of difficulty.

Actually on Silver they are as hard as the other factions on Gold it seems and on Gold well they use their system freeze ability to force me to restart my PS3.

Sir, if I may....

Praetorian lazers are great, I love the fact they are deliberately designed to go through shield gate.... really makes those 3000 shields and 70% DR I get on my krogan sentinel worth it..... :unsure:

Its just, can we maybe not have them shooting through walls, makes them kinda ridiculous aye?

Bees make for an interesting addition, however, the bees have waaaaaaaaay too much health; plus their hit box needs to represent the actual size of the model better.

I support praetorian lazers not shooting through concrete, and a nerf the health of the bees!


This is petty much exactly what needs to be done. Plus their annoying habit of ignoring many spell effects should be fixed as a priority, although Geth Bombers also present this power too often.

The lasers shooting through walls is a rather annoying issue, it makes avoiding it feel like pot luck.

The bees make being caster heavy more of a problem, this wouldn't be quite so much of an annoyance if it didn't take so bloomin long to kill the things and if their hitbox wasn't so jumpy. It all adds up to feeling a bit 'unfair'.

I hate abominations, but you know what really doesn't make any sense? The praetorians don't behave like they did in ME2. The first time I saw one leap across the map on ME3, I was like WHAT THE F*** WAS THAT. The only thing they have in common with their ME2 counterparts is their lasers (which appear to be less powerful than the scions now). The praetorians were slow in ME2, but they're like The Flash on crack in ME3. Ridiculous.

Uhhhhhhh. To me, Collectors on Silver is slightly easier than Reapers on Gold. Collectors on Gold is horrible, and Collectors on Platinum is dear god make it stop. I'll admit Collectors on Bronze is fine.

The only reason I can think of higher completion rates on Silver is that in 90% of the PUGS I've been in where Collectors randomly get selected, everyone whips out their missile launcher the second a Praetorian comes into view, or rage missiles a Scion, which rarely happens for any other faction on Silver.

They are more durable than an Atlas, 5x faster, have power immunity while flying, can insta-kill you from any range and trough cover. PERFECT BALANCE!

come on guys, geth are easy. I wouldn't nerf collectors, but I do hate playing them. HATE.
