So, testing out the gifting aspect of the game. I know some gifts work better with certain characters than others - what have people discovered so far? I know that Leliana goes absolutely starry-eyed when you give her the flowers with Andraste in their name.

I suddenly feel very stupid, I have an entire bag full of silver and wierd dolls and all the gifts in the world, but I have no idea how to give them to people. I figured I hadn't gotten far enough or something.

You open the inventory screen, scroll to the desired recipient, and the then scroll over to the gift and give it to them, its almost like equipping them with it.

Gave them to Morrigan and got some increased happiness.

Gifts give diminishing return. So you might watch spamming useless gifts on the wrong character. A good gift on a character the first time gives a +10 approval. Everyone after that gives +9, +8 etc. Things they don't like start around +5, +4 etc. So its best to identify what they like based on their codex or read the guide first.

I haven't gotten too far in yet... just finished the opening story at Highever castle. So I've got only one gift in inventory and haven't handed it out yet. But that first one I came up with really made me laugh w/ the wink to Baldur's Gate... a dirtied pair of gold / silver pantaloons. I was hoping that would be in your list Cheiron - I'll be very amused to see if anyone actually wants them.

You can also buy a pair of blue silk shoes as a gift for Leliana from the same random encounter merchant that you grab the Silver Sword of Mercy from.

It was nice to hear them mentioned in cutscene dialogue at the party camp before I stumbled across them.

what gift items turn into equipable gear? I gave Zevran the antivan boots and he ended up actually wearing them. cant remember if it had any decent stats. havnt given alot of gifts yet to see what else turns to gear.
