No need for it really.

The only reason ME series need a NG+ is because how quick the game takes to finish compare to the Dragon Age series.

Really? I always thought Mass Effect needed a NG+ because it liked to lock the player out of certain dialogue choices, dependent on an alignment bar, and you had to do at least 2 run-throughs in order to fully unlock all the dialogue options in order to actually respond to conversations the way you originally intended. The only reason ME series need a NG+ is because how quick the game takes to finish compare to the Dragon Age series.
But apparently not.. Learn something new every day.

Personally I'm for its inclusion. Its completely optional. If someone doesn't want to use that character again with all their weapons and armor etc etc etc, they don't have to.
Those of us who like to can continue to do so with NG+.
I don't see why it should be purposefully EXCLUDED.

This. I never understood the attitude that calls for it's exclusion. It's never force upon the player, and it adds replayability for those that like it.

I'm not against NG+ itself, so much as being against developer stupidity that locks out major characterization options only accessible via NG+.Wow, a very anti-NG+ thread here.
As a general rule - As long as I remain unaffected I'm fine with it.

I've always liked it, so I hope they include it.

Not only did it let you keep all levels and non-plot specific equipment, but you got the option to skip to the end boss anytime you wanted to, and got different endings based on when you defeated him.
BALLER.
Given that time travel is not possible (THAT WE KNOW OF!!!) in the DA setting, I don't think this would be as doable. But hey, why not? If I did a second replay of DA2, I'll likely do one of DA3 when I get around to playing it. Might as well be a NG+ unless there are some really unique contributions to the backgrounds that would warrant a fresh start every time.

I'd rather have the option to start at Level 10 or so on replays, than NG+
I still think that would be a NG+ scenario, just maybe not a standard one.
After all... you are starting a New Game. And your character is getting a serious bonus (or +, if you will) upon starting it, simply because you have beaten it before...?

Maybe. edit: I personally wouldn't consider it NG+ because I'd want to be able to use a different character.
But the lowest levels with only a couple of talents are basically dumbed down combat to make it easier for newbies to get the hang of things. There's no good reason to inflict that on experienced players. But starting out right at the top feels wrong to me, too.
