Who thinks it's making a comeback? I noticed when i was playing through DA2 not only was there little explanation about the thaig, but the red lyrium as well. Before the game was even released I remember a developer mentioning that something dark and mysterious that was causing those red lyrium veins to appear.

Now, considering that everything that happened in DA2 after tha point basically revolved around the thaig and red lyrium (mostly...sorta) I thnik it's fair to see it's kind of a big deal. I doubt they would just make the stuff for the sole purpose of DA2, not explaing it, and not implement it in the next game...Then again, I  thought they would definitely put the OGB in DA2 so who knows.

Still, I can't help but feel the red lyrium is special for some reason, mostly because of the power it posessed and its signifigance. That said, anyone have even a guess as to how it would be implemented in DA3? I know we don't know much but I've seen you guys come up with some pretty crazy theories (that dont always turn out so crazy)

Well, the Stone is beneath Orlais...so maybe some shiny red lyrium is as well.

As far as it being special, I think there's something more to it, sure. It could hold negative energy, or another entity. It could be something tainted from ancient times. So many possibilities, but I think if we find out anything, it will only be the merest hint and tease.

I've been wondering if maybe it'll play some part in DA3. Maybe it'll end up being sold on the market as a more potent form of lyrium and the newly rebelled Templars or mages will start using it with dire consequences or something?

I'm just hoping the whole red lyrium thing wasn't just some random plot point for DA2.
