Dunno. It's certainly the only logical outcome. Then again, the only logical outcome of walking into several huge explosions without any protection is being blown to smithereens, and we all know how that turned out in high EMS Destroy.

Well Liara and Vega are the plot armored companions, so probably if it happened they would be the ones to lead it regardless of who you romanced. 

But then again its not gonna happen so go ahead and go wild with your imagination here.

Yes that is the most logical outcome, but you are forgeting that the endings as a whole exist in a realm outside of logic and reasoning. In the universe of the endings, Shepard liviing makes complete and utter sense

bleed out? whole reason my shep walked into the blast was to carterize his wounds like a badass

Would love the idea of Normandy crew making the rescue (if not the LI, then the best buddy) but it'll make more sense (and easier to work with) if using Bailey or some random C-Sec officer.
But I'm not sure ppl would want a dlc that features a new protagonist aside from their respective Shepards tho..

has anyone finished warcraft 3 on hardest difficulty? ... if you did, you could see the famous starcraft preview.

i think, that the breathe scene was intentionally added as some kind of gimmick.


about troling .. why not? ... wouzld nt be the first time and the cgi sequence is rather short.

I could see Shepard having the same type scene as Mass Effect 1 but this time someone actually pulls him from the rubble.

heh, very very surprised to see Aria's name come up anymore around these parts seems like I am the only one around here that loves her. But anyways, Aria is the exact same person I thought of saving him, in my headcanon ending Aria was the one who saved my Shepard. I know she may be somewhat of a random person to save him but I could definately see that happening but unfortunately not likely.

If he was rescued it would probably be by someone or something still on The Citadel or a random patrol fleet or something. There are actually alot of possiblities.

Shepard is in a part of the Citadel that no one knows about, and the only way to get there that we know of is through the beam. Whoever finds Shepard would have to be in London. Wrex maybe. He was the last person I saw that didn't die or leave Earth.

True, I could see Wrex too but then again there are alot of possibilities so Bioware HAS to do something with this, they can't just sit on their hands........there is alot potential here they don't have to go into ME4 blind the easiest thing for them to probably do is just stay the course and let the story flow stop rushing Shepard's grand finale, more Shepard will not hurt anyone I mean more Master Chief did not hurt anyone so why should Shepard?

Oh yeah... I forgot about that. Man. they really went out of their way to make a timely rescue seem highly unlikely. Are we really supposed to take Shepard laying in a pile of rubble, on the brink of death, with almost no chance that someone will find him/her in time as confirmation that s/he survives, just because they took in a single breath? They should make it clear that Shepard recovers and is at least reunited with the love interest. There are other ways to kill Shepard, why make the "Shepard lives" ending so ambiguous?

Yep, because the file says "Shepard lives" and the lI doesn't put the plaque up, like they'd know. Of course rationally none of that suggests a hight chance of living but apparently you've got to consider why a scene would be inserted, and that trumps what it actually shows and what the most likely consequences are. It's more artistic like this.

I like someone's earlier suggestion of Miranda helping patch him up if she's still around. Shepard not surviving if she's dead would be an interesting little final twist. edit - hope it doesn't turn out that Wilson was the brains of the operation, despite trying to sabotage it.

Keepers. Without their masters they just resume to do what they were programmed to do. Repairing Citadel and removing unneeded things from it. Like extra doors, rubble, Crucibles, half-dead heroes etc.
