I don't recall shooting up schools in Black Ops 2, so yeah I would argue that.

Please, dude. I've not played a Cod since the first two, but even I know about "No Russian."

iot doesn't have to be in every game for it to be too far.

I forgot about No Russian. Then again I usually try to forget MW2.

Within hours after the incident, Fox News started to point to violent video games as the cause.

F*ck you Fox News for politicizing even tragedy like this.

Why just why?

You're kidding, right? They all do it, in some way or another.

Fox is no better or worse than any other.

Bull****, they're awful and an embarassment to the Republican/Conservative Party as well as journalism. Never mind what other crap they report on, when it comes to gaming, they are without a shadow of a doubt the stupidest, most illinformed hacks I've ever seen. And they never Learn!

The media in general is uninformed and goes after whatever scapegoats they can be it games, music T.V., what have you. But Fox? Here's a little collection of their idiocy;

And HERE, is without a shadow of a doubt the most digustingly fabricated attempt to push an agenda I've ever seen concerning anything, gaming or what have you;

There's more than that, but FFS man, don't defend them. If you're a Republican like myself, you shouldn't give them the time of day.

Whenever these things happen, people look to something to blame, Blame the Video Games, Blame the Guns.
This has all happened before.
So I see nothing different in this reaction. It's not like Fox hasn't already attacked Mass Effect before.
For the event itself, pretty messed up. Not only because this guy killed children, but because he shot his mom too.

The media is a effing joke. They are on a kick now to push for nullification of the second amendment. Never let a good crisis go to waste, they say. The media needs purged with fire just like Washington D.C. does.

Yup,  you're right,  but you're missing the other half of the issue.

Our senior citizens,  which currently outnumber each other generation by about 2:1,  love these stories.  They've been eating them up for decades.

-Oh no!  Ozzy is satanic!  His music makes kids kill people!
-Oh no!  Dungeons and Dragons is satanic!  The game makes kids kill people!
-On no!  The Smurfs are satanic!  They drive children insane!  (yes,  in the 80's,  this really was a thing)
-On no!  Video Games are evil!  They make our kids kill people!

The media runs these things because that's what our senior citizens want to see.  So everytime there's a shooting,  they go dig up some video game to blame it on,  hoping it gets them some extra viewers.

No political threads, please.

End of line.
