Two points:

1. Freedom of speech is just that. Anyone can say whatever they want. If you're so opposed to what someone else says, take the high road and ignore it. Words only have power when you acknowledge them.

2. Mass Effect 3 is rated M. Since you have to own a registered copy of the game to use the forums, it's at least heavily presumed that you are an adult when you post here. Getting mad because someone says something on the internet is pretty immature. Hate speech is going to exist for the foreseeable future. Learn to be better and lead by example.

I believe the OP has a valid point,  the post was in very bad taste and a Moderator should have acted to remove it long ago. Just because some of the Eliteist inhabitants of BSN think the post was OK doesn't mean that it should be allowed to remain.

Regarding the "M" rating, In the UK the game has a "15" rating to purchase, so to taking that literally anyone 15 or over could be reading & contributing on this Forum.

I too will be reporting it.

EDIT I can't find it now so hopefully it has been removed since I read it earlier this afternoon.

Are you for real? You wanna know what was in "bad taste"? A troll, completely derailing a thread without any bloody reason, like our good Op here did.

Creating another thread that's totally off topic. Send a PM or better yet, report. If you think justice isn't being served. Contact a wider variety of moderators and informed them privately of your discontent.

Creating another topic about it here is not going to help do anything but add another thread in which people will discuss it. And chances are some troll will capitalize on this see-saw discussion and throw a spanner in the works. Igniting the flames once more.

For some weird reason, the OP of the other thread decided to change the title.

It has been edited by the OP, and rightly done so too.

Well, both threads will no doubt at least give the good old banhammer a workout.

For what, joking? None of us never personally attacked anyone.

I can create new text file and name it "Government's secrets" and share it with everyone, I doubt they could charge me with treason with a poker face.

The problem with BSN is people like you OP... you derail a thread because it offended you instead of simply reporting it. Then when Bioware didn't come and close it the second you reported it you start an entire new thread devoted to B****ing at Bioware for rape jokes made by members of the boards.

The airlock is to your left have a pleasant rest of your day.

*edit* BTW the cover sandwich thread would have just died and fallen into obscurity most likely if you hadn't proceeded to start a super flamewar over there (and then proceed to make another thread just asking for an entirely new flamewar)

Even IRL, people joke about horrible subjects like rape, or death, etc..
It's called dark humor. Not everyone likes it, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be allowed.

I just read the thread (well, the OP) you complained about, and the dude wasn't even making a rape joke. He was talking about two trolls on the internet who happening to make a rape joke. No where in that post did he condone rape. No where in that post did he say rape wasn't a big deal. You have overreacted. That post wasn't worth the time and trouble you are currently going through. Chill out.
