they are not required to tell you just because you demand to know. the fact that they chose to stop rto at the last minute should tell you it's pretty serious. this sense of entitlement people have is astounding.
Not more astounding than other people's disapproval of said sense of entitlement. Just a difference of opinion.
the company can do wrong. it has by bothering to inform anyeone about what's going on. from now on they should not announce dlc until it's out so debbie downers don't get all miffed and start crying about how life's not fair. if this was any company in this type of industry, even ones i can't stand, i'd still have the same opinion. you are not owed anything by someone making something that's not even out yet. they said it's delayed due to an issue. all you need to know. you're just mad that you jumped the gun and bought points before the dlc was ready.Dahelia wrote...

Trajan, I understand that you are miffed...but you need to stop being childish. Your posts are also not on-topic and this thread has been warned about that. You deserve the almighty ban hammer.
Yep I agree everyone needs to stay on topic. I myself am tired of having good discussion threads about this topic closed because of this issue. If you don't have anything new and good to contribute to the topic at this time just read it and Iam.
The cause of this mess was a bug of some king, we will not be informed what king of bug, and we don't need to be.
It is delayed for an unknown amount of time, and we will be told its coming out, probably the moment it comes out.
Yes we do need to be informed, you are telling me...that you can just tell your customers that it was some massive issue and it is delayed and they will be like "Okay, sounds fine with me." yeah maybe those who don't care but those who do will demand an answer...just like some of us here. Most people would get fired for just saying "It was an issue" not telling the issue and then in no uncertain terms to tell us to shut up.
Get over it, they don't owe you an answer. They said it was delayed, maybe because they just feel like ruining your day. Chances are there was a gameplay/performance issue that impacted development and they didn't want to release a junk product. If they did, everyone would complain that they released a junk product. They truly can't win with internet posters. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but the reason is always gameplay/performance/logistical. They aren't going to delay a product because they don't want to start making money off of it just yet.
If you don't like when software is delayed, simply don't purchase it. Of course, good luck ever getting games since the vast majority are delayed at least once.
They do owe us an answer! Like I said before...if anyone else in the real world pulled this stunt, they would have no job. My parents deliver for Coke, Pepsi, etc...and if they said "Oh darn! We found an issue" at the last minute, the customers would be like "Okay, what issue and how long will it take" and they just say "An issue, we don't know the time" they'd be like "Don't deliver here ever again" and they would lose their job....if I did that, though my issues are usually adding just like one egg too many in the batter...I atleast tell my customers, I would not have them as customers anymore. I'm not trying to be a jerk either but....real life doesn't work this way. I am sure when someone found this issue they told their boss otherwise there would be no job for that person.
Atleast other companies have told us why there was a delay....but then again...can't always work that way it seems with some companies.

Can we please cut it out with the 7x nested quotes stuff? it's extremely annoying. Do a little cutting and pasting in the reply field so that this thread isn't being swallowed up by endless lines and spaces.

Yes we all know you're pissed, so are we. Nobody likes the delay, nobody is happy with bioware not sharing info about it.Schwapp wrote...

I agree with you, Maviarab. I've suggested that Bioware offer a return of the money people spent for the DLC if they want it. Hopefully they will do that for those that do.

I received an e-mail from bioware announcing the "Awakening" expansion today. Until one is sent regarding "RtO" then I would not expect to see it released.

Oh and as for the smart ass witty and sarcastic answer regarding buying points.
last week i had the money, I could not guarantee that on the 5th i owuld have the money (you know, some of us see games as a luxuary, we don't all have money falling out of our ass)...so i paid for them knowing that when RtO came out, the points were there ready.
Still my fault and lesson learnt?

So you're either trying to troll, and doing it wrong. Or you're trying to dodge humiliation through humour.

I never realized how terrible the DA:O community was.
The last game I was playing regularly was League of Legends, and I was fairly certain that it safely held the worst gaming community on the internet with its overabundance of teenaged DotA players.
The last 48 have thrown all that into contention. Even BioWare's own official responses are rude, childish, and filled with vitriol. This is the first time I have seen a community's generic pathetic complaints about delayed patches actually break the professionalism of the PR workers right down to the points of 'you act like children, we'll treat you like children'. It's pathetic on both sides that the insigating fools were not promptly banned (not to mention the idiot spammers talking about cake and cookies - spam is no less worthless and harmful than stupidity fueled by self-entitlement).
Seriously disappointing show from BioWare and from the community. I'll be staying off these forums in the future, I think you'd likely find more maturity and professionalism on Dora the Explora forums
