The Ogre that killed the king looks like it is rev'd with Duncan's swords still in him in the trailer for RTO. Maybe in Awakening the Architect is Duncan in that the Darkspawn all look like they are wearing Grey Warden gear. Maybe we Grey Wardens Mutate if not aloud to die honorably while fighting Darkspawn. The taint takes over and we just mutate and loose our humanity, maybe, hmmm...
I'm sorry, the Architect?
Just a small description, I haven't read that book yet.
The Architect is what appears to be a hurlock emissary that, unlike most previously encountered darkspawn, is sentient and in control of it's will. He/it captures a Warden character on his calling in the deep roads but I can't say much more on that without spoiling it. The Architect definitely has his own agenda and at least one of his darkspawnized/tainted ex-Warden followers may still be around.

Okay, is this Awakening by chance?

No, see, in the Human Noble Origin, your dog is never sick. You have a dog before you even arrive in Ostagar on Human Nobles.
1) he leaped onto bird-Morrigan's back when she landed to pick up the heroes
2) Sandal stepped in and saved him.

You mean what happens to the corrupted Wardens? Maybe. My guess it's either that or the "awakening" of more intelligent, self-aware darkspawn.

Said it before....darkspawn drag their victims underground.
We know we can go underground and that there will lots of DS and fighting....
We never saw Duncan get killed...we just assume based on what we see.....
he has the taint, and is near the end of the line (he says himself he has known someone for over 20 years....i assume as a Warden....so he getting close to the end of the line)...
So...he could have survived like Ruck....he could be turned by now....
But he 'could' be in it....
It would be so cool if Duncan got turned and you made Alistair kill him. Not likely because it would have to many repercussions in the main game, but still awesome.

IGN: Origins has been supported by a large amount of DLC from launch. The most recent of which, Return to Ostagar, has been delayed until the end of January at the earliest. Is there any explanation as to why the delay occurred? Is it solely to release the DLC for all three platforms at the same time, or was there another issue?
Fernando Melo:No, it has nothing to do with platforms themselves. It's a quality issue where, literally, at the last minute, we spotted something that had made it through our own testing, EA's testing and was at Microsoft already. But it applies to all three platforms; it wasn't something specific to Microsoft, we just happened to catch it there first. We probably could have gone with it, but it's something that was serious enough that we felt it impacted the quality [of the DLC] and we made the choice to delay it to give our fans the best experience with it. That was the reason behind [the delay] -- we want to make sure that we don't cut any corners when we do the DLC. There's already a lot of content out, there's a lot more coming -- we just announced the expansion pack, and there's more coming after that. I think the worst thing we could do after that is do anything "to poison the well," to use the expression, or put fans off from feeling that they're getting the best content from us. It's a long term decision instead of a short term decision.

Maybe they wanted to give the definitive explanation as to why Cailan's armor was crushed, dented, bruised, smelly, etc. If the issue had anything to do with Sandal and his awesomeness wielding a 2H Great Sword (which of course I doubt) then the wait is completely justified.

Doesn't sound much different than what was already said, just stated in a way that makes it sound like more. It's always been said that there was something discovered that impacted the quality of the DLC.

We found a last minute issue and had to delay Return to Ostagar to make sure we deliver the highest quality experience to you, our fans.
We will update once we have more information regarding the new date. We are working to get Return to Ostagar out to you as soon as possible.
Thanks for your patience.

Before jumping to any conclusions on the time frame, take note that the date estimate was not made by BioWare's Fernando Melo. It was conjecture put forth by the interviewer. Now, whether or not it's significant that Fernando didn't address that is another question. But be careful about drawing conclusions.

But this delved a bit deeper, it helped us know that it wasn't the patch, and that it wasn't the platform's fault. It also gave us an ETA of sorts, that we shouldn't really keep hope up that it's going to be here tomorrow or next tuesday.
However I have to question why a post like that, wasn't posted here, first. I understand Chris, Woo, and a few other Devs gave us information. Yet, it wasn't to the magnitude as Melo's.

Its okay, at least it is clearer now and we don't have to wait everyday for it to surface.
