Any tips its hard for me get even 1 approval rating with him.

Erm...he likes paintings ?

Hell, for only one approval you could give him anything.

No, one time i gave him something i cant recall what it was but it didn't even go up one point!

Don't think that's possible even. Every gift will yield some approval even if it's not the "favorite kind" of gift for the specific companion. The only time their approval won't go up is if they refuse the gift, which only happens for "special" gifts that trigger a cutscene for another companion.

It did it was something the dwarven merchant had, the one who shows up as a random encounter.

Yeah easy way to avoid disapproval is to save it before you talk to him.

Please keep discussion unrelated to RtO, and especially spoilers, out of this thread/forum, as the case may be. This thread is heading for a lock or move as it is.

Alright, I'm as guilty as sin for off-topic banter, but can we please CUT THE SPOILERS, MODS? I plan on getting my full $$$ out of this game by playing through all the possible race/class combos. So far I've completed 3. I have read spoilers for one I haven't completed thus far and that sucks. I mean, there is a forum for posts containing spoilers, isn't there?

I've actually wondered why this topic was in the "No Spoilers" forum.  When you have a DLC that's going to take place after the main game or at least after Lothering, it would seem like spoilers are fair game.  Shouldn't it be in the Spoilers forum?

They must have found something pretty big to provoke such a delay.

Anyway, i hope it gets released soon

Here is the latest updated on RTO and why it was delayed.

"Origins has been supported by a large amount of DLC from launch. The most recent of which, Return to Ostagar, has been delayed until the end of January at the earliest. Is there any explanation as to why the delay occurred? Is it solely to release the DLC for all three platforms at the same time, or was there another issue?

Fernando Melo:No, it has nothing to do with platforms themselves. It's a quality issue where, literally, at the last minute, we spotted something that had made it through our own testing, EA's testing and was at Microsoft already. But it applies to all three platforms; it wasn't something specific to Microsoft, we just happened to catch it there first. We probably could have gone with it, but it's something that was serious enough that we felt it impacted the quality [of the DLC] and we made the choice to delay it to give our fans the best experience with it. That was the reason behind [the delay] -- we want to make sure that we don't cut any corners when we do the DLC. There's already a lot of content out, there's a lot more coming -- we just announced the expansion pack, and there's more coming after that. I think the worst thing we could do after that is do anything "to poison the well," to use the expression, or put fans off from feeling that they're getting the best content from us. It's a long term decision instead of a short term decision. "

Take from interview on ign.com

Note that in that interview, Mr. Melo didn't say anything about the time frame himself. We can be content though that our DLC will be of better quality than it was going to have apparently, and thus we can be content that we won't be shelling out our moolah for something half-assed like it almost was.

Yeah, where did ign get the idea that it was coming out later this month?

People are just guessing that because IGN said it, and Mr. Melo didn't disagree with it, that it will be the date.

Clearly if it got through that much testing its some kind of small issue that that wasn't noticed at first. I don't think it will take all month to fix.
