RtO is already available illegally, BioWare really needs to respond to this ~.~

Hey you! Yes you! Stop your illegal activity about torrents you want us to look for!

You own the game, you don't need to go looking for it.

BioWare needs it's attention drawn to the situation though, and these forums are the only way to do it prompty before it explodes once it gets out.

Psst! I already called you out to produce your screenshots and what not. Why still bother posting your crap?

Throw some italics on that bold and someone might read one of your posts some day.

If all else fails, underline, strikeout, the whole nine yards.

No one cares about illegal content go talk about it somewhere else.

BioWare cares, and I care, that's enough for me.

Being ignorant to it doesn't change anything.

You really aren't bothered that DLC that is constantly being delayed is not only working but available illegally, when legit customers like us can't get access and have no communication on it?

I wish I had your doormat gene.

I'm not allowed to post it, nor would I, I'm not encouraging piracy, I want nothing more than BioWare to respond to it.

This is the only channel where I can get the spotlight on the situation.

If bioware thinks they need to fix it up then they should i can wait, Just because it's working doesn't mean you should get it illegally.

You are not allowed? So you have personal knowledge about it? You have an actual link to the alleged torrent but has fears that it will come back to you or your friend who showed you the alleged RTO? You are encouraging piracy by not acting decisively on it when people wanted to check it for themselves.

As for RtO: why would you assume it is going to have any bearing on what happens with the expansion? Keep in mind that there are different teams working on the DLC and expansion. As well, RtO isn't the first DLC. Warden's Keep was the first official for-purchase DLC, and that was delivered relatively smoothly, was it not? A problem with RtO doesn't necessarily indicate future problems with any DLC or expansions.

We have three points of data:  Shale, Warden's Keep and RtO.  From my recollection (admittedly not perfect!) Shale was intended to be part of the original game... but was split off into DLC when it was realized that Shale couldn't be completed in time for the game's release.  The PC/360 delay covered the Shale delay up.  So that's one point of data that's not roses and sunshine.

Point two is Warden's Keep.  There was a blue post or interview lamenting that it was initially built to become more than it is after the events of the DLC, however due to something that the blue poster or interviewee didn't want to discuss, much had to be left out.  Point two is not roses and sunshine.

Point three is RtO.  Blowing the holiday deadline was a terrible bummer.  Blowing the second dateline... ugh.  Nothing more needs to be said.  It is not roses and sunshine.

Point four?  Awakenings.  On 03-16-10.  Will it be delayed?  If you look at the data you can draw your own conclusion.  You can be smug and snarky and dim, expecting the next one to be delayed as well, or you can expect that BioWare has learned a little more each time and will be better because of their past mistakes.

Anyways, life isn't roses and sunshine.  **** happens.

There.  I even kept my Mashadar-like hatred of Sony and bitter, steeple-fingered suspicions of why RtO is being delayed from peeking into this post at--- Ooops, ****.  :D

Hrm, since that one quote referred to the delay being having to go through the approval process all over again, after fixing the achievement bug, doesn't that effectively mean that the delay is in fact waiting on the console versions, or does even the PC version have to be approved by microsoft (which would seem a bit odd).

Absolutely, and the devs, but I think they get so inundated with PM's that they will never see it in their inboxes in a timely manner.

I wouldn't be posting here if I didn't feel it was important, and I wasn't attempting to help out both the company and the community.

If I have to get banned from the forums for that, so be it, I have conviction in my actions, if I was lying I would've stopped a long time ago.

I won't post the link publicly on principle, nothing else. I am more than willing to prove it to BW themselves, and if I thought I could get through to them any other way, I wouldn't be here talking to you now.

Whether you believe me or not changes nothing.

No, I'm not here to provide you with illegal content, merely to raise the issue to BioWare.

Am I pissed off? Of course I am, I would have thought the community would to, but that doesn't make anything I'm saying any less true.

Good gravy the only flippin thread that didn't get the Woo hammer, and now we may likely see it shut down. Note that the illegally gained software will not contain any fixes they made and the pirates will be less satisfied with the content.

Just send a pm to some of the DEV'S with the info and your concerns about it. I doubt they would ban you for just bringing these illegal download sites to their attention so they can crack down on it.

Yeah, move along from the chatter about RtO availability outside of legit release, and quit the arguing.

No need. I'm so all over it, don't you know.

Still, I think it's presumptuous to think that EA/Bio doesn't have people that are well aware of what's going on in the world. Never hurts to give a little nudge, just in case, but they are unlikely to comment on any of it publicly. [Edit: I should add...that's if there was anything to comment on anyway.]
