lol ok, so you open a thread where you pointlessly troll, everyone who posts there calls you on it, it gets rightfully shutdown, and now you come here and ask the same thing? If you connect the dots, it kinda shows that that question isn't really relevant or appropriateTastyLaksa wrote...
Okay since my thread got locked.
Who do you guys think is getting sacked for the DLC screw up. My conspiracy senses says Stanley Woo. Cause he locked my thread.

I think the reason she keeps bring it up is that she is trying to say to Bioware, "Look, look that hackers can get RTO for free why can't we" and is trying to get Bioware into releasing a crappy product to that masses by thinking she can pressure them into this release because there is a half ass torrent of RTO floating around.darkshadow136 wrote...

Well, because I PM'd the devs you pointed me to, one of which is posting in this thread, and he, along with everyone else, never asked for proof.
Why does BioWare need to "launch an investigation" into whether it's on torrent sites or not, when if they had PM'd me I could've given them a direct link to one that not only exists but works perfectly.
I wouldn't have given you the link even if you had asked, I was referring to BioWare employees seemingly being uninterested in seeing the torrent.
As to the people questioning whether it's the actual RtO, it's because the installation is DLC-installation, not a mod, and includes everything mentioned in the description including the quests and items/gear.
It's the real deal, whether we like it or not.
I confess I don't understand your reasoning. Just because they didn't ask you for a link, you're assmuming they're sweeping it under the rug? I think they're quite capable of investigating it themselves. I found torrents for it by performing a simple search. I'm pretty sure they're able to do the same.
'Launching an investigation' didn't mean just to see if it's on torrent sites or not. It also means they're looking into whether it's the real deal and how it got there, what the legal ramifications may be, what they can do about it, and probably many other things I can't think of off the top of my head.
I agree with Eury here they can just google it themselves. I can't believe you are continuing this rant from yesterday is this a personal crusade for you, or are you just looking for a pat on the back for bringing it to their attention. Whatever you reasons let it go it is their product that they are invested in not you. I'm sure they will check it out and take the appropriate actions. In all fairness it bothers me as much as you that some people are trying to get this product not only ahead of time but for free when we pay for it the honest way. But that is the way it is some will get caught and others wont it is near impossible to catch them all it's the internet.
But i'm sure they will try and I hope Bioware does get the pirates that download I just don't see where bringing this up regulary brings anything constructive to this thread and it's purpose.

I won't call you yourself dumb, but what you are saying is really quite stupid. First of all, there is no need for anybody to produce an official site since by this point RtO is available on multiple torrent sites.
I am inclined to trust hundreds of users' comments that it is working and official above your paranoid speculation that somehow somebody (knowing somehow in advance that this would be delayed giving him the opportunity to scam everybody who tried to torrent RtO) made a working copy of RtO on their own in a few days complete with gear and voice acting. Think for a moment about what you are suggesting. The only plausible argument you could sit back on now is that all the comments stating that it is working are a massive conspiracy to deceive pirates into downloading this allegedly toolset-created ripoff.
It may not be easy to swallow, but yes it does seem to be available on torrents right now for the pirates who steal all this great content from BioWare while the rest of us get to sit on our thumbs waiting for console certification BS. Yes, it sucks a great deal for all of us but this is the direction that the gaming market is taking so either get ready for a hell of a lot more of this kind of bull in the future or find a new passtime. Consolitis is here to stay - like Herpes only worse.

I think a big part of the problem with the community here is although we love Bioware - we tend to be nervous about EA's involvement with anything. I'm not making excuses for the heavy flamers but the name EA is synonymous with money-grabbing-suits. When something is delayed or an iffy price tag is attached to something... a lot of our first instincts is to cry foul play, not because of Bioware - who we all love - but because of EA, who few, if any, of us trust.
Anyways, it sounds to me like this has more to do with wanting to launch all 3 platforms at the same time than anything else. It doesn't effect me because, like I said, I'll be waiting for the expansion before replaying.

Here's the problem with what you asked. You might as well have asked "Which of the Dev's do you think will be brutally murdered by an enraged RtO fan?" It's just an inappropriate question, and a needless attack on the Devs.TastyLaksa wrote...
What exactly are we allowed to discuss about the DLC?

Maybe I read it wrong, but I was under the impression that the expansion was kind of a standalone adventure, in which you can use the player character from a completed main game. I'm holding off on finishing the game until RtO releases, then hopefully use the same character in the expansion when it releases.Valcutio wrote...
I'll be honest, I'm not replaying the game until the expansion launches. I was going to replay the whole thing once this DLC came out but once news broke about the xpac? This is just fluff.

Because you're theorizing about something terrible happening to the Dev's, when they have done nothing to merit it, and have certainly done nothing cross you specifically. That's basically the definition of an unwarranted attackTastyLaksa wrote...

If it's a genuine question, it's an incredibly stupid one.
The answer is that nobody will or should be fired from any position high enough that you would know who they were. Least of all people who are on the community management side rather than the actual design and testing side. You have no idea who is at "fault" for the delay and quite likely it is nobody who works for BioWare at all. Much more probable is that it was a purely busniess decision made by EA or encouraged by one of the console partners BioWare has for marketing their game. Are you truly simpleminded enough to believe that the people responding to you on the forums are the same ones making executive decisions as well as designing and testing the product, or are you merely trying to incite Stanley to make you look like a fool again? (also a "genuine question")

As incredibly stupid as announcing something would be out in the holiday season and then missing the amended deadline?
Okay i shouldn't supplement a stupid question with a stupider one.

Whatever his/her motivations the DEV made it quite clear where to send the messages to them in pm's not here on this thread. I don't want to have yet another RTO thread bcause of trolling or competing ego's like in the last official thread. The amount of people that want this for free because of delay's and such is a small population of players not the majority. I for one have no problem paying $5 for the DLC I don't know if I will get it whenever they end up releasing it bacuase I may be playing something else at that point. But I'm sure at some point I will pick it up just to get a bit more of the story of Ostagar.
People that have the x-box and ps3 versions want it for the armor and stuff as well. That for me is not the issue I already created that stuff in the toolset for PC. I'm as angry as everyone else as to the delay of the DLC and such but at this point complaing about it, bringing up fre pirate versions and stuff wont bring it out any quicker, and if the DEV's were going to give us anymore info on why it was delayed they would have by now. I've moved on to other games to fill the time till it comes out, and checking on the forum here for any new info.

If you read the interview it sounds like its a bit of both it continues the story but completely locks you out of the original story. I would like to see you be able to create an new character from orla but be able to play the original storyline with that new character, but that would completely change the story, I think its going to be alot like the DLC Broken Steel for Fallout 3, that it lets you continue the story further.Valcutio wrote...

That is the best example I can think of is Broken Steel. It is a continuation of what is going on in the world. What it seems like BW is doing is the DLC's add or flesh out the world some more while the expansions continue the story of whats going on in Feralden. Entirely speculation.

If there is some pirated( toolset made) version, And bioware is looking to take legal action that is there right, they can also choose not to share that information with the public.
Maybe I need to use simpler terms
Say your a Jr. In high school and you have a girlfriend(or boyfriend if your a female)
and you and your partner break up but you don't want to tell this one friend of your right away because you know this person will try and sleep with your ex (which is rather tasteless)
People, we can always call and ask or send an email write a letter,
You are speculating on what a guy writes as a small bio update, maybe he has to fire someone who knows
but speculation...
really?
I imagined the i was one of more less intelligent people around however it seems that may not be the case
