Yeah cause they are working on it and it's delayed so it will be absolutely bug free! Woohoo!

Unless they find a new bug and have to delay it.

agreed. plus, that profile statement seems more like chris expressing how he is the messenger for the good and bad news. you know, kill the messenger and all? let's just let things be until chris or someone else can let us know what's going on. i'm sure that flame war wore on some bioware people who felt bad about the delay to begin with.

But we HAVE to kill the messenger! He turned me into a newt!

...Or was that a witch who did that? Bah, stupid short attention span.

The way they are passing along information is much worse than not saying anything till the dlc comes out. I'll rather they put in less effort trying to communicate with us if communicating means giving false promises. Twice.

I don't think they promised anything to be honest, people should know by now that official release dates do not take priority over problems with the product to be released. You act as if you expect them to ship it with problems just to make the release date to make you happy. The fact that they said they are working on it let's you know that they aren't just sitting on their collective asses. Maybe they are trying to get all the platforms out in conjunction and are having a hard time getting those folks to compromise on a single date. The possibilities to be delayed by something other than the product itself are too many in my opinion, and justs adds more delay to the process as a whole.

A delay on a full expansion or full game I would agree with you but this is just a tops 1 hour DLC and they canceled two lauch dates on the eve of each of the supposed release. That is just bad business and no excuse for it. If they set a date for a DLC like this they should stick to it not just come up with another date and then delay again if there was a major bug that they found they should have done all that testing before setting a 2nd release date for this thing. I'm at the point with this whole RTO thing where I may just forget about it and just wait for the awakening expansion and play ME2 when that comes out instead.

"this holiday season" is not a ****ing release date.  They delayed the DLC once, and the last minute nature of the delay likely means they found a game-breaking bug.

I am so glad i waited till mass effect was at $4 usd on steam to buy it. Maybe my friend was right about waiting for the game to be out for a year or two so you can get a good discount.

They should sack their entire testing team for the last minute game breakign bug. You sure they can't be replaced bioware? Sack whoever's responsible for the delay. in this economy u can easily get 2 people for the price of one. Since they are incompetent anyway why not hire 2 incompetent people? the more the merrier right?

While I wouldn't say that RtO would be the DLC that makes or breaks people's willingness and confidence in buy such content, its definitely shaping up to be 'getting it right the first time' scenario. Better to have a well polished and relatively bug free product with the first offering than have a multitude of people creating bad publicity for a burgeoning market.

Bad publicity? It has already happened, there are other forums out there with many people complaining and even comparing this to the hype and failure of Aion...

I was one of those that supported AION, was in beta, pre-ordered but it became a big disapointment due to all the hype. It ended up not being what it said it was going to be. This is the same in the fact that this is the third delay for RTO. We, the customers, deserve a Honest Answer not some lame excuse. This should be completed by now:(

It may be that they can't just replace some of em, mah dear ol' dad works for IBM and he's seen some of the guys fresh out of college come in with all the supposed knowledge, and still not know what the heck they're doing cause they didn't get taught what they really needed to know. All the older smart guys are worth more than two or even three college grads. Image IPB

It is not the delays that anger me...it is the very point...hours before RTO was to be released it was almost like "Oh....sorry screw you guys..." because there was suddenly this bug that no one will tell us about...we aren't stupid(maybe some of us), I may act like a fool, I love to joke and have fun, lighten the mood, but I am far from stupid. I just checked chris priestly profile and he changed his status 2 hours ago to:

" Chris Priestly bears the weigh of both bad and good news"
IMO the bad news is that return to ostagar will take about a month to be released and the good news will be that the RtO will be released for all platform at the same time or they fixed some kind of bug

Please don't speculate needlessly about RTO's release date. You'll only insite another flame war.

Sometimes flaming is needed. They announced 2 release dates, took them both back..and one actually just hours before it was going to be released, just saying there was something wrong and not even bother telling us anything, then go about shutting down the thread when people rather have fun than sit there and complain about their lies...it reminds me of Nippon Ichi and Disgaea where they promised something, took it back, than brought it back, took it back and now we are still waiting, 3 months later.
Sometimes a company needs to hear it. If I pulled this on my customers, they wouldn't be my customers anymore that is for sure.

MOST times..flaming is NOT needed..thats what gets threads closed...........you are mistaken.

Flaming does NOT equate to constructive criticism.   If you doubt what I say..google constructive criticism.

If your customers nagged you day in and day out for silly things..I highly doubt you'd want them to continue.

I am certainly glad that when my mother, God rest her soul, was a CUSTOMER at a nursing home, THEY wanted HER to continue, even though she nagged them about pesky things like lunch and medications.

Technically, when you boil it all down, your customer is your employer.  If you went to the person who signed your paycheck and nagged them day in and day out for silly things...I would wager that they wouldn't want YOU to continue, not vice-versa, as you stated above.

I have worked in nursing homes too rofl.   ENTIRELY different situation, the elderly are catered to, cared for..appeased etc.

If I was a person that nagged constantly I would wager that most people would stay far far away from me because I was annoying.

Same here on these forums......the sense of entitlement is overwhelming.

I want it ..and I want it yesterday.

There have been problems most likely unforseen that have cropped up and caused delays on the release of this dlc.
Its not an unusual occurence in the gaming industry..not at all.

But people here are acting like someone either robbed them..or killed their family in alot of cases.

Time to grow up...grab some patience..and when they are ready they'll tell us when the darned thing is going to be finally ready and released.

Til that time there's not much point in all this.   Already two threads have been locked because people have been using them as a platform to be childish.

I think the only one's who can say when this Should be completed are the Dev's at bioware. It Should be completed when it's a stable and complete release, not a day before.

Why is knowing exactly what that problem is so importent?  It had to be something really bad considering the game released with that dex bug, +healing stuff broken, the load time bug thing, and the xbox people losing saved games.

It be nice to know, you know??? Because if they release it, we know what to look for and see if the bug is actually gone..I am sure the xbox people would of liked to know about that bug...and we would of liked to know about the dex (I know I would...I got a Rogue now) and the healing stuff as well..it would of been nice to know beforehand
