I have to admit, I too find it strange that Bioware chose not to tell the community what went wrong. It was pulled at the last minute for a "quality issue" - it's about as vague as it gets. It's strange, to be sure, and there's definitely more to it than what we've been told but clearly Bioware don't think it's necessary to tell us. We do not need to know the details of why; just that it is so.
Fair enough, I say. Bioware are under no obligation to tell us anything. In fact, Bioware have already done more for their community than many other developers would in this situation, and for that, I’m grateful. I have faith that they're making the right choice; for whatever reason. Truthfully, we have little other option.
EDIT: Just as an aside – did anyone see the article on the percentage of people who download DLC on IGN? 15% in
this particular study. I find that number to be shockingly low. It would be interesting to see some figures from Bioware on the attachment rate of their DLC; I have a feeling it’s a lot higher than 15%.
